HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2011-069 - 3/9/2011 - NAFIRST AMENDMENT TO THE HPRP GRANT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND THE SALVATION ARMY A GEORGIA CUr DONATION This first amendment ( "First Amendment') is made by and between the City of Corpus Christi ( "City ") and The Salvation Army ( "Subrecipient " }. ,' A GEOi?UA WRPi7RUON WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient executed an agreement which was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's federal FY09 -10 Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re- housing Program grant funds ( "Agreement") WHEREAS, the Agreement terminates February 28, 2011; WHEREAS, the parties to the Agreement desire to execute this First Amendment to extend the term by twelve months, which extension is necessary for the Subrecipient to accomplish the purposes and activities outlined in the Agreement. Section 1. Section 2 of the Agreement is deleted and replaced with the following language: "2. CONTRACT TERM. The term of this Agreement shall run from final execution of the Agreement by the parties until February 28, 2012. All services performed by Subrecipient under this Agreement shall be performed within the dates of this term and within the dates of any amendment to this Agreement in order to be reimbursable by City." Section 2. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to amend the Agreement and extend the term stated in the Agreement. All other language, terms and conditions of the Agreement not changed by this First Amendment remain the same and in full force and effect. Organizations contracting and/or cooperating with The Salvation Army may be assured that because The Salvation Army is rooted in Christian compassion and is governed by Judeo - Christian ethics, The Salvation Army will strictly observe all provisions of its contracts and agreements.
