TO THE
CDBG SUBRECIPIEIIVT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AND
COASTAL BEND CENTERS FOR INDEPENDENT LIVING
This first amendment ( "First Amendment") is made by and between the City of Corpus
Christi ( "City ") and Coastal Bend Centers for Independent Living, Inc. ( "Subrecipient ").
WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient executed an agreement ( "Agreement "),
which was approved by the City Council for the purpose. of utilizing the City's FY09 -10
Community Development Block Grant ( "CDBG ") Program funds;
WHEREAS, the Subrecipient timely requested an extension of the Agreement in order
to complete the project contemplated under the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this First Amendment to express their mutual
desire to reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement
and to extend the term and compliance dates under the Agreement.
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reaffirm and continue in
force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement, as may be
amended by the execution of this First Amendment.
Section 2. Section 1, subsection 1. 1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "February 1,2011" and inserting the date "September 1, 2011."
Section 3. Section 7, subsection 7.9, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "February 1, 2011" and inserting the date "September 1, 2011."
Section 4. Section 9, subsection 9.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "March 1, 2011" and inserting the date "October 1, 2011."
Section 5. Section 9, subsection 9.2, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "February 1, 2011" and inserting the date "September 1, 2011."
Section 6. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to revise and
extend the term and compliance dates stated in the Agreement. All terms, conditions,
and covenants of the Agreement not changed by this First Amendment remain the
same and in full force and effect.
