BETWEEN
THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AND THE
CORPUS CHRISTI PUBLIC LIBRARY FOUNDATION, INC.
RENOVATIONS TO THE GREENWOOD BRANCH LIBRARY
This agreement ( "Agreement ") is made by and between the City of Corpus Christi
( "City "), a home rule municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of
Texas, and the Corpus Christi Public Library Foundation, Inc. ( "Foundation "), a
501 (c) (3) organization which solely exists to benefit the City's public libraries.
For and in consideration of the covenants, undertakings, and consideration stated in this
Agreement, the parties mutually agree as follows:
(1) The City accepts a gift ( "Gift ") from the Foundation in the amount of $101,650,00,
which will be used solely and exclusively for the renovation of the children's area at
the Greenwood Branch Library.
(2) Any portion of the Gift not disbursed for that purpose by the City by October 31,
2012 will be returned to the Foundation.
(3) This Agreement cannot be assigned, modified, or amended unless both parties
mutually consent to the assignment, modification, or amendment. Additionally, any
assignment, modification, or amendment must be made in writing and executed by
representatives of each party.
(4) This Agreement will be interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas.
