Cvaneahua, Suite 200 Corpus Christi, TX 78401 Tel 361.888.8100 Fax 381.888,8600 PN: 382764 Please accept this letter as our proposal to amend our original and amended contract to obtain additional funding for the following items related to Carbon Plant Road: • Funding for Design Phase of bored 16" water line in 30" casement as listed in Exhibit A -1. • Funding for Bid Phase Services for specified tasks as listed in Exhibit A -1. This Contract Amendment No. 2 includes fees incurred for Design Phase and Bid. Phase Services not authorized in the original contract, A total additional engineering fee of $28,490.00 will be required for the Design and Bid Phase of the waterline relocation as a bore with casement. The following are the proposed changes to the original amended, executed contract. Scope of Services: 2. Basic Services 1. Preliminary Phase — Task ComBlete 2. Design Phase i. through „ix. ;- Tasks Complete x. initiate design of thirty inch (30 ") casing for a sixteen inch (16 ") water line offset with valves to be bored under the IH37 access road on the southeast quadrant of the 1H37 and Carbon Plant Road intersection, xi. prepare construction plan drawings (11" x 17 ") to be bound within the Contract Document Book. xii. Relocation of approximately 100 LF of 16" PVC water line on southeast side of Carbon Plant Road at IH 37 (Approx Sta. 560 +00) that will traverse below the IH 37 access road. The water line will be offset from existing water line with valves and the new water line will be bored across the access road with a 30" casing. The abandoned water line will be grout filled and left in place. xiii. prepare Traffic Control Plans. xiv. provide Quality Assurance /Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews of 60% complete plans prior to submission to City. xv. submit copy of plan set to the City at 60% completion with estimates of probable construction costs for review and comment by City staff. xvi. Address post submittal review comments and complete 90% design with revised quantities and estimates of probable costs. xvii. provide Quality Assurance /Quality Control (QA/QC) reviews of 90% plans and specifications prior to submission to City. xvid. submit 1 copy of 90% complete plans and bid documents to City review and approval with revised estimates of probable costs. xix. Address post submittal review comments and complete Final design with final quantities and estimates of probable costs. xx. Convert drawings to MicroStation for TxDOT and provide color coding AMD.
