Branch Manager URS Corporation * As a further explanation of the amendment request, there have been significant deviations from the original SOW anticipated under this contract. Rather than prepare amendment requests for each deviation, URS was instructed to proceed working until budget ceilings were reached. In November of 2010, the Engineering Department elected to remove construction oversight responsibilities from URS' tasking and instead use helix Ocanas since we was already engaged on improvements at the nearby Packery Channel project. This descoping was an effort to stretch URS' existing contract further and to realize some economies since Mr. Ocanas was already working nearby. This current amendment request is intended to fund URS' services through the Bid Phase and to provide Warranty Phase support for the future parking lot development project.
