P.O., Box 9277 Corpus Christi, '1 exaa 78469 RE: Cole Park Renovations and h provements Project No. 3384 — Relocation of Irrigation Pump 92 & Re -route Plumbing e, Amphitheater, Amendment No. 4 Dear Ms. Francois: JFC .Architects respectfully requests an amendment to our "Contract for Professional Services" for an increase in fees in the amount of $17,650,.00, due to additional Scope of Work. This additional Scope of Work is associated with the Scope revisions and the additional engineering and documentation required for the Relocation of the hTigation Pump #2 and associated Electrical, Structural and Landscaping. Also included within this additional Scope of Work will be, the en.gmi eenng design and documentation of the Sanitary Sewer Re-route at the Amphitheater- Building. In addition, JEC, Inc. was required to contract with Capnor, USA for additional topographic survey data surrounding the Skate Park to allow fora detailed determination of repair quantities of select fill and flowable grout materials in our design. This data with associated cost of $900.00 has already been. incurred by JEC Architects and we have attached an invoice from. Capnor for reference. This cost is included in our requested fee amendment above. As you are aware, following our sleeting concerning these Contractor Change Orders and associated Engineering, the sanitary sewer re -route will be required due to the failure of the (40) year old cast: iron piping below grade serving the restreorns at the Amphitheater. City Engineering has approved the concept for JEC Architects to provide engineering for this sanitary sewer re- .routing. We are currently moving forward with the Final Design. and documents of the Irrigation system, irrigation pump #2 relocation with associated eieetri.cal engineering of the power panels and P.0. i nx 260161 - Corpus Christi, TX 7842.6 -Cn6l - 3649 ? t 5c., 5Wte 407 -- Corpus Christi, TY, 78408 C361) 904 -0804 - RIX (3 904 -0925- iva rYO)Karehitects.n --m AMEND. Our Electrical Engineers will evaluate the power requirements and meet with AEP as required to determine the potential need for a new transformer in closer proximity to the irrigation pump and electrical co:ntro:is panel cabinet. Landscaping in this area will be revised and documented as well for the screening of'the equipment once relocated. Engineering of the sanitary sewer re- route will be .fairly extensive. Our engia.eers will work with the contractor to determine the locations cif the existing cast iron sanitary sewer lines below the slab and below grade for as built documentation of removal, partial abandom and best possible routing of new piping. F,xisting n.ew cast iron. piping within the plumbing chase, above the slab will require engineering and modification for the re-route. This will. also entail sawcutting the slab in severe locations to tunnel under the building for re- routing of several main waste lines. Engineering will also require a. new tie -in to the existing concrete lift station tank.
