TO THE
CDBG SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AND
CBADRC dba CHARLIE'S PLACE
This first amendment ( "First Amendment ") is made by and between the City of Corpus
Christi ( "City ") and the Coastal Bend Alcohol & Drug Rehabilitation Center, Inc., doing
business as Charlie's Place ( "Subrecipient ").
WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient executed an agreement ( "Agreement "),
which was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY10 -11
Community Development Block Grant ( "CDBG ") Program funds;
WHEREAS, the Subrecipient requested an extension of the Agreement in order to
complete the project contemplated under the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this First Amendment to express their mutual
desire to reinstate and reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original
Agreement and to revise and extend the term and compliance dates under the
Agreement.
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reinstate and reaffirm
all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement to have the same
force and effect as if the Agreement had continued in force to the execution date of this
First Amendment, necessitated by the Subrecipient's request for an extension and the
ongoing nature of the project to be accomplished by the Subrecipient. The Agreement
is incorporated by reference into this First Amendment as if set out here in its entirety.
Section 2. Section 1, subsection 1. 1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date stated therein and inserting the date "November 30, 2012."
Section 3. Section 7, subsection 7.9, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date stated therein and inserting the date "November 30, 2012."
Section 4. Section 9, subsection 9, 1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date stated therein and inserting the date "December 31, 2012."
Section 5. Section 9, subsection 9.2, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date stated therein and inserting the date "November 30, 2012."
Section 6. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to revise and
extend the term and compliance dates stated in the Agreement. All terms, conditions,
and covenants in the Agreement not changed by this First Amendment remain the same
and in full force and effect.
