FAA ALP SHEET REQUIREMENTS
The original, Corpus Christi International Airport (CCIA) Airport Layout Plan (ALP) was comprised of
i 1 drawing sheets. In the course of the development of the revised ALP, depiction of various airport
features in accordance with FAA scale requirements, the types of features allowed per sheet and the
ultimate airport configuration, required the number of sheets to be increased from 10 to 22 sheets.
The following list is a summary of the number of sheets required for the Corpus Christi International
Airport Layout Plan set, as required by FAA Advisory Circular 15015070 -613 Airport Master Plans.
1, Cover Page — 1 sheet
2. Airport Layout Drawing — 2 sheets
a. Shows Existing, Future and Ultimate configurations. These may be provided on separate
sheets if the drawing is too busy.
b.. The data required by the FAA will not fit on one page and requires a minimum of 2 pages
3. Terminal Area Drawing —1 sheet
4.. Airport Airspace Drawing — 2 sheets
a. The Profile Diagrams of the Approaches could not fit, due to the required FAA scales, on
the same sheet and required a separate sheet to be functional,
5. Interior Portion of the Approach Surface — 6 sheets
a. One diagram is required to provide the detail necessary for each runway end primarily
focused around the Runway Protection Zone (RPZ) areas, for close -in obstacle analysis.
b. Other Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS) surfaces required for inclusion in the
ALP, as identified in Advisory Circular 15015070 -68 Airport Master Plans may be added,
such as the Departure Surface. As discussed with CRP staff, this was suggested by
Jacobs to include the Departure Surface, as it is a clearance surface and should be used
by CRP to better manage the height of temporary and permanent obstacles would not be
penetrated. Penetration of these surfaces will impact CRP's instrument procedures and
may result in increased landing minimums.
6. Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS) Departure Surface — 6 sheets
a. One diagram is required to provide the detail necessary for each runway end, out to
22,000 feet from the Runway Threshold
7. Land Use Drawing — 2 sheets
a. As identified in Advisory Circular 150/5070 -6B Airport Master Plans, 2 sheets were
developed for On and Off Airport Land Use
S. Airport Property Map — 2 Sheets
a. One sheet was required to depict all of the airport parcels. Another sheet was required
for the detail tables regarding the individual tracts.
