FIRST AMENDMENT
TO THE
CDBG SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AND THE
NUECES COUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY
This first amendment ( "First Amendment ") is made by and between the City of Corpus
Christi ( "City ") and the Nueces County Community Action Agency, Corpus Christi,
Texas ( "Subrecipient ").
WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient executed an agreement ( "Agreement "),
which was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY10 -11
Community Development Block Grant ( "CDBG ") Program funds to weatherize homes
occupied by low and very low income families in target areas;
WHEREAS, the Subrecipient requested an extension of the Agreement in order to
complete the project contemplated under the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this First Amendment to express their mutual
desire to extend the termination date and compliance dates under the Agreement.
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to amend the Agreement
to revise and extend the termination date and compliance dates. The Agreement is
incorporated by reference into this First Amendment as if set out here in its entirety.
Section 2. Section 1, subsection 1.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date stated therein and inserting the date "February 28, 2013."
Section 3. Section 7, subsection 7.9, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date stated therein and inserting the date "February 28, 2013."
Section 4. Section 9, subsection 9. 1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date stated therein and inserting the date "March 31, 2013."
Section 5. Section 9, subsection 9.2, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date stated therein and inserting the date "February 28, 2013."
Section 6. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to revise and
extend the term date and compliance dates stated in the Agreement. All other terms,
conditions, and covenants in the Agreement not changed by this First Amendment
remain the same and in full force and effect.
