Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program FY2010 - Accessible Routes in CDBG
Residential Areas Phase 1 and Phase 2 (Project No. 010066)
AMENDMENT NO.4
Dear Mr. Bites:
Please accept this letter as our proposal to amend our original and amended contract to increase
the authorized amount for ADA Improvements Bond 2008 and Accessible Routes in CDBG
Residential Area Phase 1 and Phase 2 to include an additional intersection design.
This amendment addresses an increase to the original and amended contract to augment funding
for the design at the added location of Chaparral Street at Coopers Alley. This intersection
consists of eight (8) curb ramps, adjoining sidewalk to the ramps (no more than twenty feet) and
a bulb -out concrete median on the south, one -way approach of Chaparral Street to the
intersection., as well as two (2) ramps at the driveway entrance to the Limerick Apartments on
Coopers Alley just west of Chaparral Street. This amendment would provide funds for the above
described design, and includes coordination with HDR or the City of Corpus Christi for survey
data necessary to complete this design and with HDR in their task of signalization design at this
same location.
A total additional engineering fee of $8,500.00 will be needed for the design and coordination
with HDR and is included in this Contract Amendment No. 4.
The following are the proposed changes to the original, executed contract.
1. Scope of Services: The Scope of Services has been revised to include the design of ten (10)
curb ramps, adjoining ramp sidewalk and a bulb -out concrete median, see Attachment A -1
Scope of Services.
