Re: Williams Drive Phase 1 -Project No.6466
Reallocation of Funds for Additional Construction Observation Services
Dear Mr.Bites:
The current Construction Observation fee in our contract was established based upon a 13-month
construction duration for Phase 1 improvements as established by the Contractor at the beginning of
construction. The 13-month period ended at the end of October 2013, and RVE's Construction
Observation funds are depleted. Based upon the Contractor's current rate of progress and current
projected construction schedule, RVE does not anticipate that Phase 1 improvements will be completed
until the end of March 2014. One (1) week of construction observation services equates to $4,000 (40
hrs. x$100/hr.). The period of November to March includes 21 weeks, so total Construction Observation
expenses are estimated at 21 weeks x $4,000/week, or $84,000. We are requesting reallocation of
$84,000 from the Offsite Drainage Contract Line Item to the Additional Construction Observation
Contract Line Item to cover Construction Observation services from November 1, 2013 through March
31, 2014. After reallocation of the $84,000, $35,085 will be left in the Offsite Drainage Contract Line
Item.
Contract Amendment No. 6 is attached to address the above request. If you have any questions, or need
any additional information, please do not hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
RVE,Inc/
