FIRST AMENDMENT
TO THE
CDBG SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AND
BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER OF NUECES COUNTY FOUNDATION
(FORMERLY MHMR OF NUECES COUNTY)
WHEREAS, the City of Corpus Christi ("City") and Nueces County Mental Health and
Mental Retardation Community Center formerly doing business as MHMR of Nueces
County, and now doing business as the Behavioral Health Center of Nueces County
Foundation ("Subrecipient") executed an agreement ("Agreement"), which was approved
by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY2012-13 Community
Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program funds;
WHEREAS, the Subrecipient has timely requested an extension of the construction
compliance and term dates in order to complete the project contemplated under the
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this First Amendment to express their mutual
desire to change all references in the Agreement from MHMR of Nueces County to
Behavioral Health Center of Nueces County Foundation, to extend the construction
compliance and term dates, and to reaffirm all other terms, conditions, and covenants
stated in the original Agreement.
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reaffirm and continue in
force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement, as may be
amended by the execution of this First Amendment.
Section 2. The Agreement title, opening paragraph, and any and all other references to
MHMR of Nueces County in the Agreement are amended by deleting the reference to
MHMR of Nueces County and inserting Behavioral Health Center of Nueces County.
Section 3. Section 1, subsection 1.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the date
"December 31, 2013" and inserting the date "March 31, 2014."
Section 4. Section 7, subsection 7.9, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the date
"December 31, 2013" and inserting the date "March 31, 2014."
Section 5. Section 9, subsection 9.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the date
"January 31, 2014" and inserting the date "April 30, 2014."
Section 6 Section 9, subsection 9.2, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the date
"December 31, 2013" and inserting the date "March 31, 2014."
Section 7. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to amend all

construction compliance and term dates. All other terms, conditions, and covenants of the
Agreement not changed by this First Amendment remain the same and in full force and
effect.
