HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2014-269 - 7/22/2014 - NA CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AMENDMENT NO. 2 CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called "CITY," and RVE, INC., hereinafter called "CONSULTANT," agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services for International Boulevard Improvements (2012 Bond Issue, Proposition 8) — Project No. E12137 as authorized and administratively amended by: Original Contract June 20, 2013 Motion No. M2013-096 $147,850.00 Amendment No. 1 October 7, 2013 Administrative Approval $6,260.00 EXHIBIT A, SECTION 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, PART A. BASIC SERVICES shall be amended to include additional basic services as shown in the Attached Exhibit "A": • ITEM NOS. 2, 3, 4. Additional Design, Bid and Construction Phase Services — Additional construction plans and specifications for relocation of one existing overhead guide sign, sign foundation, and sign structural framing, new legends and the re-routing electrical and control systems. Windstorm certification will be acquired with this amendment. EXHIBIT A, SECTION 3. FEES, PART B. SUMMARY OF FEES shall be modified by the attached Summary of Fees as shown in the attached Exhibit A for an additional fee not to exceed $13,190.00 (in figures) Thirteen Thousand One Hundred Ninety Dollars and No Cents (in words) for a total restated fee not to exceed $167,300.00 (in figures) One Hundred Sixty Seven Thousand Three Hundred Dollars and No Cents (in words). All other terms and conditions of the June 20, 2013 contract between the City and Engineer and of any amendments to that contract which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full force and effect. It is now our understanding that the Dept. of Aviation funds of$250,000.00 are available for the above project improvements. CCIA would like to use this amount towards the relocation of one (1) cxisting overhead guidc sign cntcring, replacement of four (4) existing overhead guide sign legends, and installation of a new overhead guide sign exiting the Airport. The "Overhead Sign Relocation Analysis" was conducted in accordance with Contract Amendment No. 1 to confirm these improvements during the ELR process. The City and CCIA have requested Construction Plans, Specifications, and Engineer's Opinion of Costs for locations of the new overhead signs, overhead sign foundations, overhead sign structural framing, new overhead sign legends, and re-routing electrical and control systems to the new locations. Participation in Pre-Bid Meeting by the electrical engineer and additional construction administration for additional submittal review, construction observations for windstorm verification and preparation of record drawings are required.
