HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2014-296 - 9/30/2014 - NA CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AMENDMENT NO. 1 CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called "CITY," and CLK Architects & Associates, Inc., hereinafter called"ENGINEER,"agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional Services for HEB and Al Kruse Tennis Centers(Bond 2012)(Project No. El 2118) as authorized and administratively amended by: Original Contract April 23, 2013 Motion No. M2013-072 $204,700.00 EXHIBIT A, SECTION 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES, PART A. BASIC SERVICES shall be modified as shown below. 1. Preliminary Phase: "ENGINEER" will provide additional Preliminary Phase Services as described in Exhibit "A". 2. Design Phase: "ENGINEER" will design a structural slab supported by drill piers for HEB Tennis Center as described in Exhibit "A" 3. Bid Phase: "ENGINEER" will provide additional Bid Phase services based on the additional work described in Exhibit "A". 4. Construction Administration Phase: "ENGINEER" will provide additional Construction Administration Phase Services based on the additional work described in Exhibit "A". EXHIBIT A, SECTION 3. FEES, PART B. SUMMARY OF FEES shall be modified by the attached Summary of Fees as shown in the attached Exhibit A for an additional fee not to exceed $22,000.00 (in figures) Twenty Two Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents (in words) for a total restated fee not to exceed $226,700.00 (in figures) Two Hundred Twenty Two Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents (in words). All other terms and conditions of the April 23, 2013 contract between the "CITY" and "ENGINEER" and of any amendments to that contract which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full force and effect. In order to repair the existing tennis courts we propose to design a structural slab supported by drill piers, The slab will have void boxes to allow for vertical movement of soil. The approximate area of the slab is 18,000 sq. ft. and our opinion of probable construction cost is approximately$388,440.00. Based on the scope of work outlined above we propose to provide additional A/E services for a fee in the amount of twenty two-thousand dollars ($22,000.00). The fee will be scheduled as follows: Basic Additional Services Fees 1. Preliminary Phase(25%) 55,500.00 2. Design Phase(55%) $12,100.00 3. Bid Phase(5%) $1,100.00 4.
