Box 9277 Corpus Christi, TX 78469-9277 SUBJECT: Contract Amendment Four Williams Drive—Nile Drive to Airline Road, Phase 2 (6467) Dear Mr. Harris: NEI would like to request an Amendment to our engineering services contract for the above referenced project. Construction work on the above referenced contract continues and is expected to continue through at least April, 2015. Our original request for Amendment in June of 2012 was for full time construction observation services and anticipated 40 hr work weeks for 630 working days. To date we have billed at an hourly rate based on actual time spent by our personnel on-site for construction observation and associated reporting and processing of paperwork. We estimate the funding remaining in our contract will be exhausted in November, 2014. In lieu of this, we are requesting an Amendment to our contract in order to continue a reduced level of level of observation for an additional 4 months. The reduced level will be 20 hours per week. We request Amendment Four(based on 4 months at 20 hours a week, $100/Hr) is $32,000 for a total restated fee of$1,310,714.00 for the contract. We thank you for your consideration and approval.
