Subject: Park Road 22 Bridge(Project No. 6281)—Contract Amendment No. 3
Dear Mrs. Gray:
We are proposing Amendment No. 3 to our contract to address additional work required to
upgrade the environmental document from a Categorical Exclusion to an Environmental
Assessment, revise the biological assessment and the wetland delineation, update the scoping
documents, and analyze multiple options for downsizing the sanitary sewer lift station.
A detailed breakdown of the tasks can be seen in the attached task breakdown from Raba
Kistner Environmental Inc. and the tasks listed below for Urban Engineering to analyze the lift
station options. The total proposed contract amendment is$49,270.
Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Analysis Tasks
• Review and update the cost estimate for the force main routing option that travels along
Park Road 22 and Whitecap Boulevard (with discharge point at Aquarius Street).
• Review and assess the option of constructing the proposed 18-inch force main in the
median of Whitecap Boulevard. If feasible and acceptable to the operating department
then;
o Prepare a cost estimate for the force main route as designed (i.e. across the golf
course and then continuing in the median of Whitecap, from Das Marinas to
Aquarius)
o Prepare a cost estimate for the alternate force main route (i.e. along Park Road
22 and then continuing in the median of Whitecap, from Das Marinas to
Aquarius)
• After reviewing the current flow monitoring report/gravity sewer assessment report
assess the option of discharging the proposed lift station to the existing 18-inch gravity
sewer on Park Road 22
• After reviewing the current flow monitoring report/gravity sewer assessment report
assess the option of discharging the proposed lift station to the PI Section 4 Lift Station
• Prepare a cost estimate for installing the proposed 18-inch force main by horizontal
directional drilling along Whitecap, from Das Marinas to Aquarius
