Flow Assessment • Review and confirm existing and future sub-basin boundaries and associated modifications to these boundaries. • Review previous flow monitoring data for the sub basin to determine average dry weather and peak wet weather design flows within the study area. • Modeler will use previous flow monitoring data to determine dry and wet weather flows for the proposed lift station and force main. • Ultimate design flows will be estimated using accepted growth factors for residential and commercial customers and will include project specific flows for known future customers which will be provided by others. • Proposed lift station and force main will be sized for the ultimate design flow. b. Model Scenario Evaluations • Create a peak wet weather flow(worst case)scenario under a 24-hour duration extended simulation for the proposed ultimate (future)condition. Confirm the peak flow at the location of the proposed lift station for the interim (current) and ultimate (future)condition. This information will be used by others to AMEND.NO.10 EXHIBIT"A" Pa•e3of6 assess the volume of the lift station,to size the pumps and to size the conveyance pipeline. • Model up to five(5) alternative discharge point scenarios. The following locations were identified by the City of Corpus Christi as discharge points: 1. 18-inch gravity on Park Road 22 2. PI Section 4 LS 3. PI Section 4 Force main 4. 36-inch gravity sewer on Whitecap at Aquarius 5. 30-inch gravity sewer at Whitecap and Gypsy • Identify deficient segments/areas in the vicinity of and downstream of discharge points to determine the severity of sanitary surcharging problems based on a performance criteria agreed to by the City of Corpus Christi. This effort will require coordination with Urban Engineers, Pipeline Analysis, LNV and City of Corpus Christi. The model would be used to identify the deficiencies in the system for each of the proposed scenarios. • Cost effectiveness analysis of alternatives will be by others. c. Results • Present a table summarizing wastewater flow projections at the critical locations for the study area. • Create a color coded exhibits or tables identifying areas of performance issues downstream of the proposed discharge points under peak flow conditions for up to 5 alternative scenarios. 1.2 Meetings and Support • Provide support to City Staff and/or their consultant. Support shall include coordination with City of Corpus Christi Wastewater Department staff in clarifying/interpreting modeling results. • 10 man hours for meetings and support are included in this scope and fee contract.
