SHACKELFORD INC. hereinafter called "Engineer", agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Capital Programs Prosect Management Services, E14056), as authorized and administratively amended by: Original Contract Administrative Approval October 26, 2014 $30,000.00 Amendment No. 1 Motion 2015-004 January 13, 2015 $512,577.00 From the original contract, Exhibit "A", is amended to provide increased services from part-time to full-time services as Acting Director of Capital Programs in addition to Program Management duties for approximately 90 days. The "CITY" agrees to pay the "ENGINEER" for services provided in accordance with Exhibit "A", Scope of Services, and Fee under this AGREEMENT, a total fee not to exceed $36,000.00 (in figures), (Thirty Six Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents) (in words) for a total revised fee not to exceed $578,577.00 (in figures), (Five Hundred Seventy Eight Thousand Five Hundred Seventy Seven Dollars and Zero Cents) (in words). Amendment 1,provided for Phase 2 to implement process improvements, staff training with additional part-time technical and administrative support by RHSI personnel for the following critical needs. Amendment No. 2 provides increased services from part-time to full time services as Acting Director of Capital Programs in addition to Program Management duties for approximately 90 days. Some of the responsibilities and functions as Acting Director are presented below. • Manage overall capital projects budgets, schedules,dashboards and other tools used for section management. • Participate capital projects and supervise preparation and execution of contract documents for all projects. • Participate in writing requests for in RFQ and RFP for the evaluation and selection of consultants/contractors for AE Professional Services, Design-Build and other services. • Develop cost estimates, maintain project schedules and quality control. • Design solutions to engineering problems. • Investigate and respond, verbally and/or writing, to Council and citizen requests. • Assign, prioritize and evaluate work for engineers and engineering technicians. • Supervise all aspects of project scoping,design, specification writing, scheduling, quality assurance and documentation for design and construction projects. • Oversee compliance of all construction work with approved plans and specifications. • Oversee and approve progress payments, inspectors' reports, materials tests and project acceptance. • Coordinate and communicate effectively with the public, contractors, other county personnel, and other agencies to for the successful program execution. • Any and all potential conflicts of interests will be carefully considered and exercised according to Professional Engineering Rules with City management and legal guidance.
