Home My WebLink AboutC2015-206 - 6/8/2015 - NA AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "CITY", and FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC., hereinafter called "CONSULTANT", agree to the following amendment(s)to the Contract for Engineering Services for Police Vehicle Impound Yard and Garage— Phase 2 (Bond 2012) (Project E12126), as authorized and administratively amended by: Original Contract September 16, 2014 Motion No. 2014-121 $110,168.00 In the original contract, Section I. Scope of Services shall be modified by the addition of the following scope of Basic and Additional Services as shown on Exhibit "A". Basic Services: Design Phase 1. Prepare civil design for new project site approximately 400 feet northeast along Civitan Drive of the original property site. The new site includes an existing parking lot and two existing buildings. The existence of the existing buildings will require additional consideration of their parking requirements and number of spaces lost by construction the forensics building on existing parking spaces. Additionally, the new project site will require the addition of a fire hydrant to meet code requirements on hose distance. Prepare drawings and specifications for construction on the new site. Additional Services: Topographic Survey 1. Perform additional topographic survey to provide adequate topographic data on the new, larger site. The amendment includes basic and additional services required when the City moved the project site from the original site to a new adjacent site. The new site required additional survey and additional design efforts that were not included in the original contract. These activities included the addition of a fire hydrant and the consideration of lost parking spaces for the existing buildings at the new project site. Additionally,the City has requested that all front end documents be updated to reflect the usepf Civcast for bidding purposes.FNI respectfully requests a contract amendment in the amount of$7,555 to address the additional time and effort required to support these project tasks.
