(FNI) would respectfully request your consideration of our proposed amendment for Yorktown Blvd. Phase 2 (City Project No. E10100). The amendment includes design phase and bid phase services to support the redesign of landscaping and irrigation on the Yorktown Boulevard Phase 2 project including design coordination with Del Mar College. The College will be developing 95 acres along Yorktown Blvd. as their new Southside campus. Del Mar College has agreed to participate in the initial construction cost of the landscaping and irrigation improvements and long term maintenance of the landscaping and irrigation in the medians. This amendment includes coordination with Del Mar College on the funding and long term maintenance for the medians through an interlocal agreement with the City. FNI respectfully requests a contract amendment in the amount of $46,443 to address the additional time and effort required to support this project. E10100 AMENDMENT NO. 11 1. SCOPE OF SERVICES A. Basic Services. Basic Services will include the following in addition to those items shown below: Desicn Phase 1. Conduct five (5) meetings with the City and Del Mar College to review the proposed redesign of median landscaping and irrigation and develop the terms of an Interlocal Agreement for long term maintenance and cost sharing for the construction of landscaping and irrigation of the medians. 2. Develop a revised landscape and planting design and details 3. Develop a revised irrigation plan and details for the revised landscaping plan 4. Develop a traffic control plan and typical sections including advance warning signage and details 5. Develop a storm water pollution prevention plan and design details 6. Coordinate with AEP for any conflicts and additional street lighting revisions 7. Prepare a two separate opinion of probable construction cost estimates (OPCC's) for the proposed landscaping and irrigation plan to include one estimate of all improvements adjacent to Del Mar College's future Southside campus property 8. Prepare the contract front end documents and specifications for the project 9. Prepare one hard copy(11" x 171 and one PDF electronic copy of the Plans, Specifications, and Estimate (PS&E) to the City and Del Mar College for comment and approval. (100% Pre-final submittal) 10.Address final comments from City and Del Mar College on the Pre-final Submittal 11. Submit final landscape and irrigation construction documents and revised specifications to the City for bidding (100% signed/sealed) Bid Phase 1.
