Extension of the Agreement with Dixie Friend Gay for Commission of Public Art
Whereas, on March 25, 2014 the Corpus Christi City Council approved an Agreement for
Commission of Public Art with Dixie Friend Gay ("Artist") for placement of a sculpture ("Artwork")
to be located at the Oso Bay Learning Center and Wetland Preserve located at 2446 North Oso
Bay Parkway, Corpus Christi, Texas ("Project Premises");
Whereas, the parties desire to extend the agreement regarding completion time due to
unforeseen delays;
Now, therefore, Dixie Friend Gay ("Artist") and City of Corpus Christi ("City") desire to continue
and extend the Agreement as follows:
1. The completion dates in Section 7, "Completion of Artwork", are extended as follows:
"Section 7. Completion of Artwork. The Artwork should be fully fabricated and ready
for installation no later than 20 months after contract
execution. Deviation from this deadline requires written notice to the Cityne
2. All other terms and conditions of the previously executed Agreement between the parties
which are not inconsistent herewith are continued in full force and effect.
Executed in duplicate originals by the parties to be effective upon date of City approval.
