Home My WebLink AboutC2015-249 - 8/20/2015 - NA • CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AMENDMENT NO. 2 CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and MAVERICK ENGINEERING, INC. hereinafter called "Engineer", agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Engineering Services for Tuloso Road from IH 37 to Leopard Street (Project No. E12094) BOND 2012, as authorized and administratively amended by: Original Contract January 29, 2013 Motion No. M2013-016 $331,322.00 Amendment No. 1 August 27, 2014 Administrative Approval $9,400.00 In the Original Contract, Exhibit "A", Section I. Scope of Services, Part A. Basic Services shall be amended to increase Item No. 2 Design Phase as set forth in the attached AMD No. 2, Exhibit "A". In the Original Contract, Exhibit "A", Section III. Fees, Summary of Fees shall be modified and is attached as AMD No. 2 Exhibit "A" for a fee not to exceed $8,400.00 (Eight Thousand Four Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents), for a total restated fee not to exceed $349,122.00 (Three Hundred Forty Nine Thousand One Hundred Twenty Two Dollars and Zero Cents). Monthly invoices will be submitted in accordance with Exhibit "B". All other terms and conditions of the January 29, 2013 contract between the City and Engineer, and of any amendments to that contract, which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full force and effect. The value engineering was requested by the City as a means of analyzing design options that would reduce the estimated construction cost of Tuloso Road. The value engineering effort included the evaluation of the feasibility and estimated construction of the following scenarios. • Reducing the number of proposed lanes to two • Changing the pavement material to asphalt • Eliminating the gas line, storm sewer,water and wastewater improvements • Eliminating the proposed sidewalk and ADA ramps The work involved a total of 64 man hours spread between October,2014 and December,2014. The contract amounts in Exhibit A will be revised as shown below.
