AMENDMENT NO. 7 TO
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas hereinafter called "City", and COYM, REHMET & GUTIERREZ ENGINEERING,
L.P., agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Sharpsburg Lift Station
Upgrade and Up River Road Force Main Rehabilitation (Project No. 7389), as authorized and administratively
amended by:

Amendment No. 1 March 31, 2009 Motion No. 2009-075 $226,780.00
Amendment No. 2 October 27, 2009 Administrative Approval $19,375.00
Amendment No. 3 February 13, 2010 Administrative Approval $6,255.00

EXHIBIT "A" SERVICES shall be amended as specified in the attached Amendment No. 7 Exhibit "A".
Exhibit "A", FEES shall be amended and is attached as Amendment No. 7 Exhibit "A" for a revised fee not to
exceed $47,802.00 (Forty-Seven Thousand Eight Hundred Two Dollars and Zero Cents), for a total restated
fee not to exceed $402,918.00 (Four Hundred Two Thousand Nine Hundred Eighteen Dollars and Zero
Cents). Monthly invoices shall be submitted in accordance with the attached Exhibit "B".
All other terms and conditions of the July 24, 2008 contract between the City and Engineer, and any amendments
to that contract, which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Dear Mr. Edmonds,
We have been asked to submit a proposal for reviewing and updating to current standards the
construction plans, contract documents, technical specifications and opinion of cost for the
Sharpsburg Lift Station and Up Rive Road Force Main Rehabilitation project. The original
contract Notice to Proceed was issued on July 24, 2008. The 100% submittal was made to the
City on January 28, 2011. At that stage the project was put on hold for funding reasons. A City
review of the 100% submittal was not performed.
Under this Amendment No. 7, we propose to perform the following tasks approved by City
Staff:
1. General
a. Additional costs due to labor hourly rate changes since 2009.
b. Reestablish contact with Seadrift Pipeline and AEP to update "right to cross" permits
and to ascertain the present contacts for each.
2. Field Work
a. Additional topographic work and investigation at locations of existing and proposed air
release valves located in the back lot of Allison Trunk Line Easement (approximately
6,240' length of 20" dia. force main).
b. Resetting baseline monuments, (60d nails in pavement) for the Up River Road Force
Main from Sta. 1+00 to Sta. 13+65.
c. Reset property line corner for the S.E. corner of the City tract and reset easement
boundary on Seadrift Pipeline tract.

a. Update "front end" documents to new City Standards
b. Delete the Special Provisions A-51 "Dewatering" and A-55 "Pumping Bypass Plan and
Operation" and add new detailed Technical Specifications for both.

a. Adhere to new format for documents submittal.
The total amount of this Amendment is $47,802.00 as shown in the breakdown on Attachment
"A". The manhour and fee analysis for this Amendment is shown in Attachment "B".

DEFINITIONS
a. "Board member." A member of any board, commission, or committee appointed by the
City Council of the City of Corpus Christi,Texas.
b. "Economic benefit". An action that is likely to affect an economic interest if it is likely to
have an effect on that interest that is distinguishable from its effect on members of the public
in general or a substantial segment thereof.
c. "Employee." Any person employed by the City of Corpus Christi,Texas either on a full or
part-time basis,but not as an independent contractor.
d. "Firm." Any entity operated for economic gain, whether professional, industrial or
commercial,and whether established to produce or deal with a product or service, including
but not limited to, entities operated in the form of sole proprietorship, as self-employed
person,partnership,corporation,joint stock company,joint venture,receivership or trust,and
entities which for purposes of taxation are treated as non-profit organizations.
e. "Official." The Mayor, members of the City Council, City Manager, Deputy City
