Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached Amendment No.4, Exhibit"A". In the Original Contract, Section 3 shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the attached Amendment No. 4, Exhibit "A" for a fee not to exceed $49,950.00, for a total restated fee not to exceed $410,760.00. All other terms and conditions of the March 27, 2012 Contract for Professional Services between the City and Consultant, and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full force and effect. Box 9277 Corpus Christi, Texas 78469 Subject: Staples Street Pumping Plant New 10 MGD Pumps - Project No. E12004 Proposed Amendment No.4 Dear Jeff: In response to a request by City staff we have reviewed the scope of services outlined in the original contract and the two (2) executed amendments. We have also discussed the project with our sub-consultant Bath Engineering and offer the following with respect to the current scope of services. In 2013 we prepared and submitted to the City for approval, a 50% complete package describing the proposed improvements at the Staples Street Pumping Station. Since this submission, the scope of the project has changed from what was originally planned and it is our opinion that we will need to undertake a significant amount of rework in order to get the project back to 50% complete. We propose to complete the design phase work as noted below, for an additional fee of$49,950. Design Phase: We will incorporate the approved pump configuration (three (3) 7.5 MGD) into the design, update the work that was previously completed (submitted to the City in 2013) and prepare a new 60% design submission for the City to review. We propose to undertake the following design phase tasks; • Meetings with the City to kick off the design phase and to review the new 60% submission package. • Review and update the design calculations to incorporate the recommendations from the preliminary phase.
