AMENDMENT NO. 2
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi,Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation (YCity )11 and Martinez,Guy&Mavbikt
Um.("Consultant"), agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Carroll Lane
from Houston to McArdle BOND 2014(Project No. El 3097):
Original Contract February 11, 2014 Ordinance No. 030087 $534,420.00
Amendment No. 1 March 2, 2016 Administrative Approval $33,530.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit"A", Section I. Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit"A".
In the Original Contract, Section III shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit "A" for a fee not to exceed $13,500.00, for a total restated fee not to exceed
$581,450.00.
All other terms and conditions of the February 11, 2014 Contract for Professional Services between the City and
Consultant, and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

Dear Mr. Hale,
As a result of the City's directive given subsequent to the project's Public Meeting held on
January 25, 2016, please accept this letter as our proposal to perform the additional
professional services desired in developing the Carroll Lane from Houston to McArdle project.
Additional Work Description and Backa round information
MGM requests this amendment due to additional scope of work created by the directive given
by City Staff, in coordination with Corpus Christi Metropolitan Planning Organization (CCMPO)
Staff, as a result of the Public Meeting held on January 25, 2016. The new directive relates to
on-street parking lanes along Carroll Lane as they relate to bicycle facilities.
Prior to the Public Meeting, MGM had reached the 60% submittal stage for the work included
in Amendment No. 1, which included a different configuration for parking lanes and bicycle
facilities along the project corridor(on-street parking lanes on both sides of Carroll Lane, and a
9' wide tied shared use bicycle/pedestrian path on each side of the roadway). The directive
given subsequent to the Public Meeting changed the roadway typical section configuration to
include on-street parking on only one side of the roadway, and a 10' untied shared use
bicycle/pedestrian path on each side with a 2' buffer between the back of curb and path. This
change caused additional scope of services as described below:

Additional Scope of Services:
1. Preliminary Phase
• No additional services
2. Design Phase
• Stormwater Design Adiustments- In conjunction with the pavement width change
required to change the typical section as described above, the stormwater design
requires corresponding adjustments to match the new roadway width. Inlet locations
and length of pipe runs affect the hydraulic design.
• Revision of Plan Sheets- The change of street typical section requires each plan
sheet to be revised to appropriately identify the street elements in plan view. Plan &
Profile sheets, Stormwater Sheets, Typical Section Sheets, Traffic Control Plan
Sheets, SW3P Sheets, and various other sheets and details must be revised due to
the pavement width change.
