TO THE
CDBG SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE
CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AND
CORPUS CHRISTI AREA COUNCIL FOR THE DEAF, INC.
This first amendment ("First Amendment") is made by and between the City of Corpus
Christi ("City") and Corpus Christi Area Council for the Deaf, Inc. ("Subrecipient").
WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient executed an agreement ("Agreement"),
which was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY2014-
15 Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program funds;
WHEREAS, the Subrecipient has timely requested an extension of the construction
compliance and termination dates in order to complete the project contemplated under
the Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this First Amendment to express their mutual
desire to reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement
and to extend the construction compliance and termination dates of the Agreement.
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reaffirm and continue in
force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement, as may be
amended by the execution of this First Amendment.
Section 2. Section 1, subsection 1.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "March 31, 2016" and inserting the date "September 30, 2016."
Section 3. Section 2, subsection 2.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "February 29, 2016" and inserting the date "August 31, 2016."
Section 4. Section 8, subsection 8.10, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "February 29, 2016" and inserting the date "August 31, 2016."
Section 5. Section 10, subsection 10.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "March 31, 2016" and inserting the date "September 30, 2016."
Section 6. Section 10, subsection 10.2, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "February 29, 2016" and inserting the date "August 31, 2016."
Section 7. By execution of this First Amendment, the parties agree to revise and
extend the construction compliance and termination dates stated in the original
Agreement. All other terms, conditions, and covenants of the Agreement not changed
by this First Amendment remain the same and in full force and effect.
