AMENDMENT NO. 1
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi,Texas,a Texas home-rule municipal corporation("City")and Frank Brogan Consulting
("Consultant"), agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Management
Review of City Engineering Department(Project No. E16245):
Original Contract j February 9, 2016 Administrative Approval $35,000.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit"A", Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached Amendment
No.1, Exhibit"A".
In the Original Contract, Section 4. Fee shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the attached
Amendment No. 1, Exhibit"A"for a fee not to exceed$10,000.00,for a total restated fee not to exceed$45,000.00.
All other terms and conditions of the February 9, 2016 Contract for Professional Services between the City and
Consultant, and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

Subject: Phase H-Additional Services for
Management Review of City Engineering Department
(City Project No. E16245)
Dear Saundra:
At the conclusion of our meeting yesterday with the City Manager you asked me to provide you
with a proposal for the next steps in our study,in particular the upcoming presentation to the City
Council.
I have prepared the following scope of work and estimated cost for these next steps:
Phase 11-Scope of Work:
1. Prepare revised slide presentation for City Council Presentation. Incorporate final
revisions and adjust length to proposed time allocated for presentation.
2. Review proposed presentation by City staff for concurrence with my report and proposed
implementation plan of recommendations. Provide comments on same.
3. Attend City Council meeting tentatively scheduled for May 31"and present my report
and recommendations from the Phase I study.
4. Provide City staff with additional assistance needed to further clarify and implement my
recommendations.
Phase I1—Cost: I recommend the above work be conducted on an hourly basis with a not to
exceed cost of$10,000. I will bill the City monthly using my normal billing rate of$250.00 per
hour plus reimbursable expenses such as travel.etc. I will not exceed this limit without your
prior authorization.

Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information. If this meets with
your approval,please let me know if I should bill against the prior purchase order(#521-0001
CPG)or if another purchase order will be issued for this next phase of work.
I want to thank you again for all of your help on the Management Review of the City
Engineering Department Phase I effort. I very much appreciate the chance to work with the City
of Corpus Christi on this assignment.
