Director of Engineering Services City of Corpus Christi 1201 Leopard Street Corpus Christi,Texas 78401 RE: Greenwood Drive from Gollihar Road to Horne Road—BOND 2012 (City Project No. E12092) Engineering Design Change Proposal—Landfill Field Investigation (Amendment No. 3) Dear Mr. Edmonds, On January 29, 2013 the City of Corpus Christi City Council executed a contract for engineering services with Govind Development, LLC (GDL) for Greenwood Drive Improvements — Gollihar Road to Horne Road (City Project No. E12092). The scope of the project includes the widening and rehabilitation of Greenwood Drive with a full depth pavement reconstruction, curb and gutter, sidewalks and Regional Transportation Authority (RTA) bus stop rehabilitation. Contract Amendment No. 2 (approved in December 2015)is a change request for the new outfall design to meet the 25-yr storm design criteria. City of Corpus Christi—Engineering Services staff has requested in Amendment No. 2 that GDL provide a storm water outfall design to meet the project required 25-yr storm design criteria. During our investigation of the outfall route it was discovered that the approved storm water outfall route would travel through an abandoned landfill. GDL has since contacted the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and gathered information on the permitting required to construct the storm water outfall as shown in the plans. This scope of work excludes disposal of any hazardous material found in the abandoned landfill.
