Box 9277 Corpus Christi,TX 78469-9277 Re: Ocean Drive —Louisiana Ave. to Buford Street(City Project No. E12093) Amendment No.4 Dear Mr. Edmonds, Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) would respectfully request your consideration of our amendment#4 for Ocean Drive—Louisiana Ave. to Buford St. (City Project No. E12093). The amendment includes additional design phase services for the design of an alternate traffic control plan and pedestrian detour plan requested by the City to allow construction activities to begin for Phase 1A. The amendment also includes the preparation of TxDOT PS&E bid package for a HAWK pedestrian traffic signal at the intersection of Ocean Drive and Del Mar Blvd. FNI respectfully requests a contract amendment in the amount of$34,891 to address the additional time and effort required to support these additional project efforts. The proposed scope is further defined below: Scope of Services A. Basic Services Design Phase 1. Provide additional design of a traffic control plan and pedestrian detour plan for Phase 1A which has allowed construction activities to begin on the Ocean Drive project. The alternate traffic control plan was requested by the City due to construction schedule delays on the Santa Fe— Hancock to Elizabeth project. NO.4 EXHIBIT"A" Page 1 of 2 B. Additional Services Signalization Improvements 1. Prepare TxDOT formatted drawings,contract documents and bid package for a new HAWK beacon (High-Intensity Activated crossWalK beacon) at Ocean Drive and Del Mar Blvd. This amendment includes the effort necessary to prepare the complete package of drawings and contract documents needed to advertise and bid the HAWK signal as a separate contract. This will be a locally let contract by the City. The City will provide all coordination efforts with TxDOT and required paperwork and follow-up documentation necessary for the Transportation! Alternatives Program (TAP)funding grant. FNI proposes the services listed above for a lump sum fee of$34,891. We anticipate delivery of the HAWK signal design within 6 weeks of receipt of an executed small A/E agreement.
