CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
AMENDMENT NO. 1
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation("City")and HDR Engineering, Inc.
("Consultant'), agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Corpus Christi
Aquifer Storage and Recovery Feasibility Study[Project No. E16265):
Original Contract July 26, 2016 Ordinance No. 030902 $601,980
In the Original Contract, Section 5. Indemnity shall be amended as set forth in the attached Amendment No.1,
Exhibit"A".
In the Original Contract, Section 4. Fee shall not be amended as indicated in the attached Amendment No. 1.
Exhibit"A"for a fee not to exceed Q,fora total restated fee not to exceed $601,980.
All other terms and conditions of the July 26, 2016 Contract for Professional Services between the City and
Consultant,and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

Dear Mr.Edmonds,
Attached for your consideration is Amendment No. 1 for our Professional Services
Agreement with the City of Corpus Christi dated August 1, 2016 for the Corpus Christi
Aquifer Storage and Recovery Feasibility Study as approved by City Council on July 26,
2016 by Ordinance No.030902. There is no change in study costs or scope of work
associated with this amendment.
This amendment adds contract language and conditions to Section 5. INDEMNITY of the
August 1,2016 Agreement per Texas Water Development Board request.
If the attached Amendment meets with your approval,please sign and return one copy to
our office.
We appreciate the continued opportunity to work with the City of Corpus Christi and the
CCASRCD on this important ASR feasibility project.

Amendment No. 1 for
Professional Service Agreement for the Corpus Christi Aquifer Storage and
Recovery Feasibility Study (Project No. E16265)
This is an Amendment to the AGREEMENT signed on August I, 2016 between The City
of Corpus Christi (City) and HDR Engineering, Inc. (Consultant) for the Corpus Christi
Aquifer Storage and Recovery Feasibility Study(Project No. E16265). The AGREEMENT
between the City and Consultant (referred as SUBCONTRACT in the language below as
specified by the Texas Water Development Board) is hereby amended to add contract
conditions to Section 5. INDEMNITY as follows:
NO DEBT AGAINST THE STATE-This SUBCONTRACT and Agreement shall not be
construed as creating any debt by or on behalf of the State of Texas and the TWDB,and all
obligations of the State of Texas are subject to the availability of funds. To the extent the
performance of this SUBCONTRACT transcends the biennium in which this
SUBCONTRACT is entered into,this SUBCONTRACT is specifically contingent upon the
continued authority of the TWDB and appropriations therefore.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have made and executed this AGREEMENT
as of the day and year as noted below.
