agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Cefe Valenzuela Landfill
Disposal Cell Interim Cover(Project No. E11061):
Original Contract , January 22, 2013 j Ordinance No. 029728 1 $475,465.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit"A", Section I Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached
Amendment No. 1, Exhibit "A".
In the Original Contract, Section III shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the attached
Amendment No. 1, Exhibit"A"for a fee not to exceed $4,000.00,. for a total restated fee not to exceed$479,465.00
All other terms and conditions of the January 22, 2013 Contract for Professional Services between the City and
Consultant, and of any amendments to that contract. which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

Dear Mr. Mikolajczyk:
As requested by the City Landfill Superintendent,CP&Y, Inc. (Consultant)respectfully submits this proposal
to conduct Additional Engineering Services in connection with the Cefe F. Valenzuela Landfill. These
proposed Additional Engineering Services include the following Task:
I. TASK - Use of Mulch for Erosion Control
The Additional Scope of Services to be performed by CP&Y on this Task are outlined below:
• Prepare a non-notice Permit Modification Application in accordance with TCEQ 30 TAC 305.70(j)
to allow mulch to be used for erosion control of intermediate cover slopes at the Landfill This will
consist of modification of Part IV(Site Operating Plan)to incorporate mulch as one of the
acceptable erosion control measures at the Site.
• Prepare TCEQ Form 20660 to accompany the Permit Modification Application
• Review the Application with the City Staff, incorporate comments and additions and prepare the
complete Application Document.
• Submit the appropriate number of copies of the Application to TCEQ for their review and
comments. (City will be responsible for paying the Application Fee to TCEQ-$150.00)
• Provide additional information as required by TCEQ and prepare a Response to TCEQ for final
approval.
II. Deliverable:
• Non-Notice Permit Modification Application to TCEQ in accordance with 30 TAC 305.70(j)
III. Fee Estimate
We are requesting that the City of Corpus Christi authorize CP&Y to complete the above Task for a Total
Lump Sum Fee of$4,000.00.
We appreciate the opportunity to continue assisting the City of Corpus Christi with solid waste projects to
ensure the Cefe F. Valenzuela Landfill provides adequate and efficient disposal capacity for the City and
that it remains in regulatory compliance.
