CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
AMENDMENT NO. 2 to
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi. Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation ("City")and CP&Y, Inc.
("Consultant"), agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Cefe
Valenzuela Landfill Disposal Cell Interim Cover(Project No. E11061):
Original Contract January 22, 2013 Ordinance No. 029728 ' _ $475,465.00
j Amendment No. 1 September 26, 2016 Administrative Approval $4,000.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit"A", Section I. Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the
attached Amendment No. 2, Exhibit"A".
In the Original Contract, Section Ill shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the
attached Amendment No. 2, Exhibit"A"for a fee not to exceed$5,000.00.for a total restated fee not to
exceed $484,465.00.
All other terms and conditions of the January 22,2013 Contract for Professional Services between the
City and Consultant, and of any amendments to that contract, which are not specifically addressed
herein shall remain in full force and effect.

Amendment#2 to E11061
Dear Mr. Mikolajczyk:
As requested by the City of Corpus Christi, CP&Y, Inc. (CP&Y)is pleased to present the following Proposal
for the design and permitting of borrow pit and pond at Cefe F. Valenzuela Landfill, as Amendment#2 to
contract E11061.
I. SCOPE OF SERVICES
➢ Permit Modification Application
• Prepare a non-notice permit modification in accordance with the Texas Commission
on Environmental (TCEQ) Title 30 Texas Administrative Code (TAC) 305.70(1) The
purpose of the permit modification is to incorporate a new soil borrow pit that will be
subsequently developed into a pond. This modification will be shown on all the site
plan drawings in the Site Development Plan (SDP) and in an update to the fire
prevention plan in Site Operating Plan (SOP) to include the pond availability to
supplement site fire-fighting capability.
• Prepare the necessary TCEQ forms to accompany the permit modification application.
• After the permit modification has been prepared, CP&Y will submit a draft to the City
for review and comments. Once comments are received, CP&Y will updated the permit
modification to incorporate any additional information and prepare a complete
application to submit to the state. (City will be responsible for paying the $150
application fee to TCEQ.)
• CP&Y will prepare a response for any additional comments that TCEQ may have in
order to get final approval.
➢ Pond Design
• Review groundwater levels in the area where the pond is to be constructed to ensure
that excavation will not be below groundwater level.
• Prepare pond excavation plans to provide to the City.
II. DELIVERABLES
➢ Non-notice permit modification to TCEQ in accordance with 30 TAC 305.70(j).

III. FEE ESTIMATE
We are requesting that the City of Corpus Christi authorize CP&Y to complete the above
task for a total lump sum fee of$5,000.00.
We appreciate the opportunity to continue assisting the City of Corpus Christi with solid waste
projects to ensure the Cefe F. Valenzuela Landfill provides adequate and efficient disposal
capacity for the City and that it remains in regulatory compliance.
