The plant received raw water from the Nueces River Raw Water Pump Station located remotely from the plant. This pump station has power provided by AEP at 4160V and the City then distributes the power to throughout the pump station. The Pump Stations electrical system distributes approximately 3 megawatts of power at current loading. The Station is currently being re-designed and upgraded with new building, pumps, power distribution equipment and generators. The Water Plant participates in a State wide electrical grid load shed program, which shifts plant load to onsite generators on an as needed basis, which could be extended to the systems at the Nueces River Raw Water Pump Station. The addition of High Service 3 and future Chlorine Disinfection projects will increase the power load closer to the maximum capacity of the infrastructure which will require close monitoring and control of power distribution to prevent nuisance tripping or overloading of the electrical gear. PURPOSE The purpose of this AE contract amendment is to provide the engineering services to program a new plant substation HMI and Relays at PCR#10 Nueces River Raw Water Pump Station.
