This Task Order pertains to a Master Services Agreement for Professional Services by and between City of Corpus
Christi, Texas (City) and LNV, Inc. (Consultant) dated August 16, 2016 (Agreement). Consultant shall perform
services on the project described below as provided in this Task Order and in the Agreement. This Task Order
shall not be binding until it has been properly signed by both parties. Upon execution, this Task Order shall
supplement the Agreement as it pertains to the project described below.
PROJECT NAME/NUMBER:Water and Wastewater Treatment On-Call Support, E16264
1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION—This project provides the Utility Department with on-call services to assist with
any technical,operational,maintenance,diagnostic and design concerns for the City's O.N.Stevens Water
Treatment Plant and six wastewater treatment plants.
2. SCOPE OF SERVICES — O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant Filter Building Expansion Feasibility
Assessment
3. COMPENSATION—The total amount not to exceed for Task Order No. 19 only is$16,051.00.
This Task Order is approved and Consultant may proceed. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement
remain in full force and effect.

Task Authorization No. 19 -ONSWTP Filter Building Expansion Feasibility Assessment
PURPOSE
The O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant(ONSWTP)has a Filter Building. South of the current office for
plant staff. The City intends to convert the second story of the South Filter Building to house offices, a
library and a break area.
The purpose of this task authorization is to provide a visual assessment of the existing condition of the
building and determine the feasibility of converting the second story into an office area. This task
authorization will address the feasibility of installing required ADA compliant restrooms, windstorm
compliant roof.windows and doors,along with additional stairs for egress from the building in case of an
emergency. In addition,the scope of work will include an electrical and HVAC assessment of the building
along with an assessment for asbestos removal and lead-based paint.
SCOPE OF WORK
ADDITIONAL SERVICES:
TASK 0005—Condition Assessment
The Architect x%ill perform the following:
1. Visual assessment of the existing"Filter Building"South Wing(South of the current office spaces).
2. Assess existing construction type. (Primary structural elements, wall construction, and roof
supports,existing mechanical,electrical,and plumbing services).
3. Assess primary electric service to determine if capacity is sufficient for handling anticipated load.
4. Recommend appropriate location for installation of mechanical f I VAC unit and condensation unit.
5. Determine appropriate water line routes and provide plumbing recommendations for easy access
to primary sewage connection.
6. Assess the building for lead-based paint and asbestos.Assessment will include sample analysis and
testing.A report of all test results will be provided with the final report.
7. Assessment will include photographs of the areas that the Architect determines should be included
in the report.
8. Provide a preliminary floor plan(exhibit)showing requested and required spaces and anticipated
room sizes.
9. Develop an Opinion of Probable Construction Cost.based on the Architects determination of the
size required for the various areas requested,along with required code compliant items.
DELIVERABLES
• Three(3)sets of a bound report noting our findings through the visual assessment process, and a floor
plan exhibit showing a preliminary la}-out of the requested and required spaces.

• Opinion of probable construction costs for the renovation.
• One(I)electronic copy of all deliverables.
SCHEDULE
The Engineer's services shall be performed in a timely manner consistent with sound professional practices.
The Engineer will complete the work according to the following schedule:

• FINAL Report Submittal 5 weeks after NTP
The time limits set forth in the schedule shall include allowances for reasonable and expected review time
by the City and approval by authorities having jurisdiction over this project, and shall not be allowed as
cause for delay or adjustments to the schedule. Delays caused by review times by the City exceeding those
anticipated by the Engineer's schedule are cause for adjustments in the schedule. Any adjustments made
to the agreed upon schedule shall be made in writing and accepted by both parties.
The Architect shall begin work immediately upon receipt of the executed Task Authorization and/or Notice
to Proceed(written or emailed).
FEE
The services will be provided on a Lump Sum basis as the project is moved towards completion. The
anticipated amount for this task authorization is 516,051.00,as shown in ATTACHMENT A. If the level
of effort exceeds this estimate.a separate task authorization wilt be requested.
