AMENDMENT NO. 2
CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi,Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation ("City")and Freese and Nichols,Inc.
("Consultant"),agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Downtown Road
and Streetscape Improvements BOND 2014 (Project No. El 5098):
Original Contract October 18, 2016 Motion No. 2016-137 ,I $115,067.00
Amendment No. 1 December 19, 2016 Administrative Approval 1 $10,643.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit "A", Section I. Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit"A".
In the Original Contract, Section III. Fees shall be amended as set forth in the attached Amendment No.2, Exhibit
"A"for a fee not to exceed $35,857.00, for a total restated fee not to exceed $161,567.00.
All other terms and conditions of the October 18,2016 Contract for Engineering Design Services between the City
and Consultant,and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in
full force and effect.

Re: Downtown Road and Streetscape Improvements(Bond 2014)
City Project No. E15098-Amendment#2 Revised
Dear Mr. Edmonds,
At the request of your staff, Freese and Nichols, Inc. is pleased to submit our revised contract
amendment#2 for Downtown Road and Streetscape Improvements(Bond 2014). This amendment
includes Design and Construction Administration phase services effort as follows:
1. Add Design Phase Services.
a. This amendment proposes to add additional streetscape elements to the project.
Design phase services will include the following:
i. Select new plantings and soils for the concrete planters to be placed in the
downtown area.
1. Specify actual planting medium and top dressing for planters
2. Develop planting plan for the specified planters throughout the
downtown area
3. Provide landscape construction documents for the proposed
streetscape improvements
4. Develop landscape construction costs estimate
ii. Develop performance specifications for the LED lights to be used at the Coppini
Fountain.
iii. Update the OPCC including the new streetscape elements.
The City staff will:
a) Coordinate design efforts with the Downtown Management District and
the City's Manager's Business Liaison.
b) Provide review of additional streetscape elements prior to bidding.
Freese and Nichols, Inc. respectfully requests a contract amendment in the amount of$35,857.00 to
address the aforementioned items.
