(Consultant) dated December 19, 2017 (Motion M2017-196) (Agreement). Consultant shall perform services on the project described below as provided in this Task Order and in the Agreement. This Task Order shall not be binding until it has been properly signed by both parties. Upon execution, this Task Order shall supplement the Agreement as it pertains to the project described below. Box 9277 Corpus Christi,Texas 78469-9277 Re: North Beach Coastal Erosion Protection (City Project No. 18033B) Dear Mr. Edmonds, At the request of City of Corpus Christi (City)staff, Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is pleased to submit a Small AE proposal for professional services to determine the technical practicality based on a conceptual configuration of the City's proposed North Beach Coastal Erosion Protection project plan. We understand the City proposes to develop and enhance portions of the North Beach to include various erosion protection elements,the creation of a residential boat channel and inlets,and nearshore islands/breakwaters.The scope of the proposed professional services is as follows: 1. FNI will conduct basic numerical modeling for conceptual evaluation of the water elevations,wind,waves, and currents to determine potential siting of the proposed uplands development dredged channel,such as: basic geometry,depth of water, intertidal flushing capacity,and potential flushing influence from waves and currents. 2. FNI will assemble and submit a draft Technical Memo for the Conceptual Plan Evaluation to include: • Results of the technical practicality assessment • Alternatives for conceptual channel dimensions • Water quality guidance • Identification of post-construction maintenance considerations • Local FNI personnel will meet with City Staff in a submittal meeting 3.
