North Beach Breakwater, Plaza, North Shoreline Repair and Enhancement (Bond 2012)--City Project No. E12129 Contract Amendment No. 2 — Additionally Requested Services LJA Proposal No. 15-01736 CO2; LJA Project No. C007-16006A Dear Ms. West: SCOPE OF WORK BASIC SERVICES LJA Engineering, Inc. is pleased to submit this correspondence as our proposal to the City of Corpus Christi for Contract Amendment No. 2 for providing the requested professional engineering services required to amend the construction plans and re-bid the project. The Basic Services includes additional Design Phase and Bid Phase services. Justification for the amendment is as follows: 1. There were no bids received during the first bidding process attempt. 2. The City has completed a portion of the proposed sidewalk ADA improvements, located along Surfside Boulevard, using a separate contract and contractor under the Street Preventative Maintenance Program (SPMP). 3. The City has revised the general schedule for the bidding and construction phase work. LJA proposes to perform the above-described Basic Services work on a Fixed Fee basis as described below in Section II. BASIS OF COMPENSATION. Not including the City's review time and bidding schedule, LJA will require 10 business days to complete this portion of the project and to coordinate all disciplines of work. II.
