This Task Order pertains to a Master Services Agreement for Professional Services by and between City of Corpus
Christi,Texas(City)and Freese and Nichols, Inc. (Consultant)dated April 17, 2018 (Agreement). Consultant shall
perform services on the project described below as provided in this Task Order and in the Agreement. This Task
Order shall not be binding until it has been properly signed by both parties. Upon execution, this Task Order shall
supplement the Agreement as it pertains to the project described below.
PROJECT NAME/NUMBER: O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant Site Infrastructure Improvements/E13051
1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION—This project provides the Utility Department with on-call services to assist with
any technical, operational, maintenance, diagnostic and design concerns for the City's existing water
treatment facilities.
2. SCOPE OF SERVICES — Preliminary design of the demolition project for the Old Cunningham Water
Treatment Plant more fully described in Exhibit A.
3. COMPENSATION —The total amount not to exceed for Task Order No. 1 only is $50,369.00.
This Task Order is approved and Consultant may proceed. All other terms and conditions of the Agreement
remain in full force and effect.

provided in the executed MSA.

TASK ORDER NO. 1
OLD CUNNINGHAM WTP DEMOLITION
This Task Order pertains to the Master Services Agreement for Professional Services by and between
City of Corpus Christi,Texas(City) and Freese and Nichols, Inc. (Consultant) dated April 19, 2018
(Agreement). Consultant shall perform services on the project described below as provided in this Task
Order and in the Agreement. This Task Order shall not be binding until it has been properly signed by
both parties. Upon execution,this Task Order shall supplement the Agreement as it pertains to the
project described below.
TASK ORDER NO. 1—REV.1
PROJECT NAME: OLD CUNNINGHAM WATER TREATMENT PLANT DEMOLITION
A. PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) understands that the City is planning to demolish the old
Cunningham Water Treatment Plant. The old Cunningham Water Treatment plant was originally
constructed in the early 20th century and was expanded upon multiple times since its original
construction. The current plant footprint is approximately six acres and it consists of numerous
above and below ground structures. The scope of the contract is to provide preliminary design
for the removal of all structures and infrastructure to a depth of 4 feet below existing grade,as
defined in the Scope of Services. The possible salvage of items of material or historical value is
also a focus of the demolition design.
This scope does not include Hazardous Materials(HazMat) identification nor abatement. The
City has proactively contracted for the performance of a HazMat Survey and the results have
been provided to FNI.
B. SCOPE OF SERVICES
1. Preliminary Design Investigation
a. Review of Available Record Drawings and field verification.
b. Review of HazMat Survey.
c. Topographical Survey.
d. Identify any impediments/risks associated with demolition to 4 feet below grade,such
as large objects at that depth.
e. Coordinate with Public and Private Utilities to determine the presence and locations of
existing utilities and infrastructure in the demolition area.
f. Coordinate and participate in four(4)site visits. Each discipline will attend 3 of the 4 site
visits.
g. Technical memo to the City confirming if the initial design assumptions hold and
demolition is straightforward or identifying newly uncovered information/impediments
and how they will affect demolition. Provide Preliminary design and OPCC and address
comments.
h. Coordinate Quality Control(QC)/Quality Assurance(QA) by FNI Senior Management and
Technical Staff.
i. Hold one(1) review session with City staff to discuss issues and review the technical
memo.

3. Project Management
a. Schedule and participate in a project kickoff meeting(teleconference)with the City Staff
to discuss the Scope of Work, Project Schedule, and establish communication protocols.
b. Establish a Design Project Schedule and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan for
execution of the project.
c. Develop and submit monthly status reports for distribution to the City Staff to
communicate project updates and progress.
COMPENSATION
Freese and Nichols, Inc. proposes to perform the Scope of Services listed above as a lump-sum
fee for the preliminary design investigation.
