HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2018-732 - 2/19/2018 - NA SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE ESG 2016-2017 SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI AND CORPUS CHRISTI HOPE HOUSE, INC. This second amendment ("Second Amendment") is made by and between the City of Corpus Christi ("City") and Corpus Christi Hope House, Inc. ("Subrecipient"). WHEREAS, the City and the Subrecipient executed an agreement ("Agreement"), which was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY2016- 17 Emergency Solutions Grant ("ESG") Program funds; WHEREAS, the Subrecipient will receive additional unexpended ESG Funds and will be granted an extension of the compliance and term dates in order to complete the project contemplated under the Agreement; and WHEREAS, the Subrecipient will provide Emergency Shelter/Shelter Operations. These activities are designed to increase the quantity and quality of temporary shelters provided to homeless people, through the renovation of existing shelters or conversion of building to shelters, paying for the operating costs of shelters, and providing essential services and have specific goals for each as shown in Exhibit 1 (attached and incorporated) in the amount Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000); WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this Second Amendment to express their mutual desire to reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement and the First Amendment from December 30, 2017 to September 30, 2018. Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reaffirm and continue in force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement, as may be amended by the execution of this Second Amendment. Section 2. Section II of the Agreement is amended by deleting the amount "$30,000," and inserting the amount "$95,000." Section 3. Section XXI of the Agreement is amended by deleting the date "30th day of September 2017" and inserting the date "30th day of September 2018." Section 3. By execution of this Second Amendment, the parties agree to revise and extend the compliance and term dates stated in the original Agreement. All other terms, conditions, and covenants of the Agreement not changed by this Second Amendment remain the same and in full force and effect. Funds may be used for renovating the shelter and operating the emergency shelter. This activity is subject to the expenditure limit as set out in §576.100(b).
