TO THE
INTERDEPARTMENTAL AGREEMENT ("AGREEMENT")
FY2016 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG") PROGRAM
BETWEEN THE
HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT ("HCD")
AND
PARKS AND RECREATION DEPARTMENT ("DEPARTMENT")
This second amendment ("Second Amendment") is made by and between the Housing
and Community Development Department ("HCD") and the Parks and Recreation
Department ("Department").
WHEREAS, HCD and the Department executed an agreement ("Agreement"), which
was approved by the City Council for the purpose of utilizing the City's FY2016-17
Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG") Program funds for a project entitled
Ben Garza Park Improvements ("Project")
WHEREAS, the Department has timely requested an extension of the construction
compliance and term dates in order to complete the project contemplated under the
Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the parties desire to execute this Second Amendment to express their
mutual desire to reaffirm all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original
Agreement and to extend the construction compliance and term dates of the
Agreement.
Section 1. By execution of this instrument, the parties agree to reaffirm and continue in
force all terms, conditions, and covenants stated in the original Agreement, as may be
amended by the execution of this Second Amendment.
Section 2. Section 1, subsection 1.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "July 31, 2018" and inserting the date "January 31, 2019."
Section 3. Section 2, subsection 2.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "July 31, 2018" and inserting the date "January 31, 2019."
Section 4. Section 3, subsection 3.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "July 31, 2018" and inserting the date "January 31, 2019."
Section 5. Section 6, subsection 6.1, of the Agreement is amended by deleting the
date "July 31, 2018" and inserting the date "December 31, 2018."

other terms, conditions, and covenants of the Agreement not changed by this Second
Amendment remain the same and in full force and effect.
