AMENDMENT NO. 2
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation ("City")and Freese and Nichols, Inc.
("Consultant"),agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Downtown Street
Traffic Signals and Area Improvements BOND 2014 (Project No. El 5108):
Original Contract October 18, 2016 Motion No. M2016-137 I $334,275.00
Amendment No. 1 December 28, 2016 Administrative Approval 1 $35,236.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit "A", Section I. Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit"A".
In the Original Contract, Section III shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit "A" for a fee not to exceed $10,010.00, for a total restated fee not to exceed
$379,521.00.
All other terms and conditions of the October 18, 2016 Contract for Professional Services between the City and
Consultant, and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

RE: Downtown Streets Traffic Signal and Area Improvements (Bond 2014)-Amendment No. 2

Dear Mr. Edmonds,
Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is pleased to submit an amendment to our professional services contract to
provide additional design phase services for the Downtown Streets Traffic Signal and Area Improvements
(Bond 2014)for your consideration. This amendment includes additional effort to support the future two-
way conversion of Peoples Street and John Sartain Street between Water Street and Shoreline Boulevard.
This amendment will include the following services:
Design Phase
1. FNI will prepare revisions to the Signalization Plan and Traffic Signal Summary sheets for the
intersections of Water/John Sartain and Water/Peoples. These design revisions will include the
improvements necessary for the addition of the fourth traffic signal (one signal at each intersection)
to support the future two-way conversion of these streets.
2. FNI will prepare an updated quantity summary and opinion of probable construction cost.
3. FNI will submit the draft plans and revisions to the City for review.
4. FNI will attend one (1) additional meetings with the City for the design of improvements.
5. FNI will assemble and submit the final plans based on City review comments.
Project Assumptions:
a. The signalization design revisions will be provided to the City to be constructed as a change order
to the City's existing construction contract.
b. Intersection modifications including design of roadway striping and signage for the future two-
way conversions is not included in the scope of this amendment.
c. Traffic analysis for the future two-way conversions is not included in this amendment.
