V TASK ORDER NO. 10 This Task Order pertains to a Master Services Agreement for Professional Services by and between City of Corpus Christi, Texas (City) and LNV, Inc. (Consultant) dated August 16, 2016 (Agreement). Consultant shall perform services on the project described below as provided in this Task Order and in the Agreement. This Task Order shall not be binding until it has been properly signed by both parties. Upon execution, this Task Order shall supplement the Agreement as it pertains to the project described below. PROJECT NAME/NUMBER: Water and Wastewater Treatment On-Call Support, E16264 1. PROJECT DESCRIPTION—This project provides the Utility Department with on-call services to assist with any technical,operational, maintenance,diagnostic and design concerns for the City's O.N.Stevens Water Treatment Plant and six wastewater treatment plants. 2. SCOPE OF SERVICES— Distribution System Control Strategy 3. COMPENSATION —The total amount not to exceed for Task Order No. 10 only is $13,332. This Task Order is approved and Consultant may proceed. Stevens Water Treatment Plant(ONSWTP) and the distribution system, the City staff has implemented a variety of process modifications and operational changes with respect to the treatment and delivery of treated water to residents. Updated water quality targets and operational goals have also been set to ensure that the changes that have been made result in, providing high quality water on a consistent basis. The sensitivity of the various process modifications and the need to perform consistent water treatment and distribution require increased monitoring and data analysis. This task authorization will provide assistance to City staff by providing an evaluation of the distribution system tank operations to determine if the system may be further optimized. An alternative control strategy will be developed in an effort to minimize water age in the system and improve overall water quality. The evaluation will consist of an on-site evaluation and interviews with the City's operations staff td develop a new operations control strategy and implement changes to the standard operating procedures. The revised operating strategy would provide further consistent set-points for operations staff and minimize variability in tank operations in the distribution system. SCOPE OF WORK ADDITIONAL SERVICES: ITEM 9 —General Engineering The Engineer will perform the following: A. On-site Evaluation of the Distribution System Tank Operations 1. Review the existing operation strategy 2. Interview City staff regarding the standard operating procedures 3. Develop alternative operating strategies 4. Assist City staff in testing alternate operating strategies B. Alternative Distribution System Tank Operations 1. Document the alternative recommended operating strategies in a memorandum 2. Develop a PPT for training of City Staff on the alternative operating strategies Task Order No. 10 1 Exhibit A Page 2 of 5 LNV • • DELIVERABLES The Engineer will prepare a DRAFT memorandum, which will contain the findings from the On-site Evaluation of the Distribution System Tank Operations. Upon receipt of comments, the Engineer will incorporate the comments into the FINAL memorandum and provide one (I) hard copy and one (1) electronic copy to the City's designated Task Authorization Manager specified under this authorization. The Engineer will also prepare a PowerPoint summary of the recommended alternative operating strategies and provide to the City for training purposes. SCHEDULE The Engineer's services shall be performed in a timely manner consistent with sound professional practices. The anticipated completion date for this work is March 31",2017.The Engineer shall begin work immediately upon receipt of the executed Task Authorization and/or Notice to Proceed (written or emailed). FEE The services will be provided on a Time and Materials (1&M) basis as the project is moved towards completion. The anticipated amount for this task authorization is S13,332, as shown in ATTACHMENT A. If the level of effort exceeds this estimate,a separate task authorization will be requested.
