AMENDMENT NO. 1
CONTRACT FOR ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation ("City") and Govind Development,
LLC.("Consultant"),agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for North Padre
Island Beach Access Road 3A and 2 BOND 2014 Prop. 2(Project No. E151111:
[ Original Contract May 31,2016 Motion No. M2016-056 $73,935
In the Original Contract, Exhibit"A", Section I. Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached
Amendment No. 1, Exhibit"A".
In the Original Contract,Section III. Fees shall be amended as set forth in the attached Amendment No. 1, Exhibit
"A"for a fee not to exceed $16,150, for a total restated fee not to exceed$90,085.
All other terms and conditions of the May 31,2016 Contract for Engineering Design Services between the City and
Consultant,and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

Engineering Design Change Proposal—Access Road 2 Bid Package(Amendment No. 1)
Dear Mr. Edmonds,
On June 3, 2016 the City of Corpus Christi City Council executed a contract for engineering services with
Govind Development, LLC(GDL)for North Padre Island Beach Access Roads 3A&2—BOND 2014(City
Project No. E15111).The scope of the project includes rehabilitation of Access Roads 3A and 2 with full
depth pavement reconstruction,dune mitigation, re-alignment,signage and striping.
The original contract was to provide a single set of plans for both roads to be bid by contractors at the
same time. Due to circumstances beyond our control it was decided by City staff to separate the
construction documents and bid each Access Road separately.We've successfully delivered Access Road
3A and it is currently under construction. However,Access Road 2 is still under design and will be
advertised for bids in the next few months. In order to complete the design and deliver a separate
construction package(drawings and front end documents)GDL is requesting Amendment No. 1 to be
approved. Below is detailed summary of the engineering fee increase.
GDL proposes to perform the engineering services in Amendment No. 1 for a lump sum amount of
$16,150.The fee increase to the current contract includes engineering and design services associated
with providing a separate bid package for Access Road 2. A breakdown of the package and the hours of
effort are detailed below.
