AMENDMENT NO. 2
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi,Texas,a Texas home-rule municipal corporation("City")and Freese and Nichols,Inc.
("Consultant"), agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Police Vehicle
Impound Yard and Garage—Phase 2(Bond 2012) (Proiect No. E121261:
Original Contract September 16, 2014 Motion No. M2014-121 $110,168.00
Amendment No. 1 June 8, 2015 Administrative Approval $5,908.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit A, Scope of Services, shall be amended as set forth in the attached Amendment
No.2, Exhibit A.
In the Original Contract, Exhibit A, Fees, shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit A for a fee not to exceed $19,044, for a total restated fee not to exceed $135,120.
All other terms and conditions of the September 16,2014 Contract for Professional Services between the City and
Consultant,and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

RE: Proposal for Amendment No.2—Police Vehicle Impound Yard and Garage Phase 2(Bond 2012)
Dear Ms. Espinal:
Freese and Nichols, Inc.(FNI) is pleased to submit this amendment for professional services. This effort will
consist of updating the construction contract documents originally prepared for bidding in September 2015.
BASIC SERVICES
Update the building drawings and specifications to meet 2015 Energy Code Compliance:A traditional
metal building is no longer Code compliant with Energy Code changes made since the building was
originally prepared for bidding. The building drawings and specifications as well as MEP systems will
require revisions. The remainder of the drawings and specification will require re-sealing prior to
issuance.
Update the Construction Contract Documents to the current City of Corpus Christi Front End
Documents:The City's standard front end documents have been change since the building was originally
presented for bidding, including the format of the bid sheet. The latest documents will be prepared for
use in this bid set.
Review and update OPCC: The change to the energy code requires the design to incorporate features
not previously included. These features will affect costs.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Energy Conservation Inspections:Currently the City requires Energy Conservation Inspections and
Certification prior to issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy. These inspections and certification will take
place during construction with coordination with the contractor. This requirement was not in place at
the time the project was previously submitted for bidding.
FEE
Freese and Nichols, Inc.proposes to perform the scope of services listed above for the following lump-sum
fees listed below:
