HomeMy WebLinkAboutC2017-540 - 6/7/2017 - NA 2017-540 6/07/17 Barcom Construction Inc. 8 � Ili FMAC TASK ORDER AGREEMENT ame This FACILITIES MULTIPLE AWARD CONTRACT TASK ORDER AGREEMENT(ORDER) is between the City of Corpus Christi, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation (CITY), acting through its duly authorized City Manager or designee, the Director of Engineering Services or City Engineer, and Barcom Construction, Inc. (CONTRACTOR), acting by and through its duly authorized representative, Elaine Hoffman _ (Name), President (Title). The parties agree as follows: 1. This ORDER is issued under the Facilities Multiple Award Contract Master Agreement signed on July 26, 2016, pursuant to Request For Proposals No. 2016-04. All terms and conditions of the Master Agreement pertain to this ORDER. 2. CONTRACTOR was selected for award of this ORDER under Request for Task Order Proposal (RFTOP) No. E15199 3. CONTRACTOR shall construct and complete certain improvements in accordance with the plans and specifications described in Exhibit "A" (attached and incorporated herein), perform all work as provided in said plans and specifications, and do such additional work as-may be-considered necessary to complete the work in a satisfactory and acceptable --- - manner (the"Work").The CITY reserves the right to make such changes in the plans and specifications and in the character of the work as may be necessary or desirable. Authorization for all changes must be made in writing. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, tools, material, machinery, equipment and incidentals necessary to the prosecution of the Work unless otherwise provided by the written terms of the plans and specifications. 4. The work described in the Task Order documents shall be completed within 60 Calendar Days of Notice To Proceed. 5. In consideration of the completion of the above-described Work, the CITY agrees to pay to CONTRACTOR the amount of $91,648.00 U.S. for City Project E15199 Central Cashiers Station Remodel . Said payment shall be conditioned upon the acceptance of the work by the CITY as certified by its final inspection following the receipt of notice from the CONTRACTOR that the work is completed and ready for acceptance. Upon completion of work and before acceptance and final payment is made, the CONTRACTOR shall clean and remove from the work site all surplus and discarded materials, temporary structures and debris of every kind in order to leave the work site in a neat, orderly condition, equal to that which originally existed. SSPC Paint 20 -Zinc-Rich Primers (Type I - Inorganic and Type II - Organic). 1.3. DELIVERY AND STORAGE: A. Comply with requirements of General and Special Provisions. B. Deliver, store, and handle building components in such a manner that they will not be damaged or deformed. Stack on platforms or pallets and covered with tarpaulins or other suitable weather tight covering materials stored on the site before incorporation into the Work. 1.4. DESIGN REQUIREMENTS A. Design to AISI 53-03-3 Cold-Formed Steel Design Manual set B. Design to provide for movement of components without damage, failure of joint seals, undue stress on fasteners, or other detrimental effects when subject to seasonal or cyclic day/night temperature ranges. Indicate component details, framed openings, bearing, anchorage, loading, welds, if any, type and location of fasteners, and accessories or items required of related work. 2. Indicate vertical and horizontal framing layout showing sizes and spacing of framing and bracing members. 3. Describe method for securing framing member to adjoining and supporting components and for bolted and screwed framing connections including details of vertical deflection connections to structure. 4. Submit calculations for loadings and stresses of members under the seal signature of a professional engineer licensed in the State of Texas. 5. Prior to proceeding with the work of this Section, submit the above listed documents for verification and use of the Architect's structural engineer for his purposes in certifying that the building complies windstorm- resistant requirements of local and state jurisdictions. C. Product Data: Submit data on standard framing members; describe materials and finish, product criteria, limitations and accessories. D. Manufacturer's Installation Instructions: Submit special procedures, perimeter conditions requiring special attention, and connections. 1.6 QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Calculate structural properties of framing members in accordance with AISI 53- 03-3, Cold-Formed Steel Design Manual Set. 1.7 QUALIFICATIONS A. Manufacturer: Company specializing in manufacturing products specified in this Section with minimum three years experience. B. Installer: Company specializing in performing work of this Section with minimum three years experience and approved by manufacturer. Submit engineered calculations and shop drawings sealed by P.E. D. Coordinate the work of this Section with related work to be previously and subsequently installed. Do not proceed until related previously installed work is properly installed to receive the work of this Section. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.1. COLD-FORMED METAL FRAMING A. Manufacturers: 1. Plates, Gussets, Clips: Formed sheet steel, thickness determined by performance requirements specified, but not less than 0.0347 inch (0.88 mm) thick. D. Touch-Up Primer for Galvanized Surfaces: SSPC Paint 20 Type II, organic zinc rich. 2.3. FASTENERS A. C. Verify rough-in utilities are in proper location. 3.2. ERECTION OF VERTICAL FRAMING MEMBER A. When using tracks, align tracks; locate to layout. Secure in place with fasteners at maximum 32 inches (813 mm) on centers. Provide fasteners designed to resist accumulated design loading and provide accessories to transfer design loads between track anchor and track. B. Place vertical members at 16inches o.c. maximum. Connect to tracks using fastener method. Erect vertical members in one piece full length. Splicing is not permitted. C. Erect vertical members, brace, and reinforce to develop full strength, to achieve design requirements. D. Fully seat axial loaded members, if any, in receiving tracks (maximum 1/16 inch (1.59 mm) gap between member and track web). E. Install member with deflection allowance in track, directly below horizontal building framing at non-load bearing framing. F. Complete framing ready to receive sheathing specified in Section 09260, windows and doors, electrical and mechanical work, and interior finish. 3.3 ERECTION TOLERANCES A. Supply items required to be cast into concrete or embedded in masonry with setting templates, to appropriate sections. Perform field welding in accordance with AWS D1.1. D. Obtain Architect/Engineer approval prior to site cutting. E. After erection, prime welds, abrasions, and surfaces not shop primed or galvanized, except surfaces to be in contact with concrete. 3.3. SCHEDULE A. Concealed wood blocking, and telephone back board. 1.2. QUALITY ASSURANCE A. Perform Work in accordance with the following agency: 1. Lumber Grading Agency: Certified by ALSC. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.1. LUMBER MATERIALS A. Lumber Grading Rules: SPIB. B. Framing, Blocking, and Furring: Southern Yellow Pine species, No. 1 grade, S4S dimensional size classification, 19 percent maximum moisture content. 2.2. PLYWOOD A. Plywood: APA/EWA Structural 1, Grade CDX, Exposure Durability 1, sanded, 3/4 inches thick. 2.3. ACCESSORIES A. Fasteners: Hot-dip galvanized steel, except use coated or stainless steel when required to resist corrosion from wood treatment chemicals as recommended by chemical manufacturer. B. Anchors: Expansion shield and bolt type for anchorage to concrete. Bolt for anchorages to steel. Sheet metal screw for anchorage to sheet metal. 2.4. FACTORY WOOD TREATMENT A. Wood Nailer, Treated Lumber, Pressure-Treated with Penta or Wolman salts to resist deterioration from moisture. PART 3 EXECUTION 3.1. EXAMINATION AND PREPARATION A. Examination: Verify substrate conditions are ready to receive framing, and blocking. B. Preparation: Coordinate blocking and framing items with the work of other sections. 3.2. INSTALLATION A. Place members level and plumb. Place horizontal members crown side up. Fasten members securely in place. B. Space framing 16 inches (600 mm) on centers. C. Secure plywood sheathing to framing members with ends over bearing. D. Install telephone back boards with plywood material. E. Install concealed lumber blocking for support of wall-mounted items provided by other sections. Securely fasten blocking to wall framing for sound support of supported items. 3.3. FASTENING A. Coordinate with cabinets specified in Section 06410, toilet accessories specified in Section 10800, plumbing fixtures specified in Section 15410, air conditioning work specified in Division 15 and other sections interfacing with the work of this Section. Remove split members and replace with sound members complying with the specified requirements. D. Bolting: 1. Drill holes 1/16 inch larger in diameter than bolts being used. 2. Drill straight and true from one side only. 3. Do not bear threads on wood but use washers under head and nut where both or either bear on wood, and use washers under all nuts. E. Screws: For lag screws and wood screws, pre-bore holes for the same diameter as root of threads, enlarging holes to shank size diameter for length of shank. Fabricator: Company specializing in fabricating Products specified in this section with minimum three years documented experience. Convene meeting a minimum of one week prior to commencing work of this Section. 1.7 DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING A. Protect work from moisture and damage. Replace damaged work with new. 1.8 FIELD MEASUREMENTS A. Verify field measurements prior to fabrication. 1.9 SEQUENCING A. Sequence work to ensure utility connections are achieved in orderly and expeditious manner. 1.10 COORDINATION A. Coordinate work with plumbing rough-in, electrical rough-in, and installation of associated and adjacent components. PART 2 PRODUCTS 2.1 FINISH CARPENTRY COMPONENTS A. Concealed Portions: Provide sound material of any species. D. Wood Particleboard: Do not use on this project. E. Hardboard: Do not use on this project. 2.2 ACCESSORIES A. Nails and Fastenings: Cadmium plated, chrome-plated, hot-dipped galvanized, aluminum or stainless steel. For exposed fasteners, use oval head screws with finishing washers, stainless steel or chrome-plated. When recommended by wood chemical treatment manufacturer to resist corrosion from treatment chemical, use protective-coated or stainless steel fasteners. 2.3 FABRICATION A. Fabricate to AWI Economy standards except as may be specified otherwise herein. B. Shop assemble work for delivery to site, permitting passage through building openings. C. Cap exposed high pressure decorative laminate finish edges with material of same laminate finish, color and pattern as other exposed laminate surfaces. D. (CONTRACTOR), acting by and through its duly authorized representative, Elaine Hoffman (Name), President (Title). The parties agree as follows: 1. This ORDER is issued under the Facilities Multiple Award Contract Master Agreement signed on July 26, 2016, pursuant to Request For Proposals No. 2016-04. All terms and conditions of the Master Agreement pertain to this ORDER. 2. CONTRACTOR was selected for award of this ORDER under Request for Task Order Proposal (RFTOP) No. E15199 3. CONTRACTOR shall construct and complete certain improvements in accordance with the plans and specifications described in Exhibit "A" (attached and incorporated herein), perform all work as provided in said plans and specifications, and do such additional work as may be considered necessary to complete the work in a satisfactory and acceptable manner (the"Work"). The CITY reserves the right to make such changes in the plans and specifications and in the character of the work as may be necessary or desirable. Authorization for all changes must be made in writing. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all labor, tools, material, machinery, equipment and incidentals necessary to the prosecution of the Work unless otherwise provided by the written terms of the plans and specifications. 4. The work described in the Task Order documents shall be completed within 60 Calendar Days of Notice To Proceed. 5. In consideration of the completion of the above-described Work, the CITY agrees to pay to CONTRACTOR the amount of $91,648.00 U.S. for City Proiect E15199 Central Cashiers Station Remodel . Said payment shall be conditioned upon the acceptance of the work by the CITY as certified by its final inspection following the receipt of notice from the CONTRACTOR that the work is completed and ready for acceptance. Upon completion of work and before acceptance and final payment is made, the CONTRACTOR shall clean and remove from the work site all surplus and discarded materials, temporary structures and debris of every kind in order to leave the work site in a neat, orderly condition, equal to that which originally existed. The CONTRACTOR shall submit a notarized affidavit that bills for all labor, equipment, materials and supplies associated with the project have been paid before final payment is released. 1 Rev 09/2016 6. All work shall be performed in a workmanlike manner and to the satisfaction of the CITY. The CONTRACTOR shall, at all times, observe and comply with City, federal, state and county laws, ordinances or regulations which in any manner affect the conduct of the Work. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for procuring all legally required building, plumbing, electrical and other permits and licenses, pay all charges and fees, and give all notices necessary and incidental to the due and lawful prosecution of the Work, unless otherwise provided by the written terms of the plans and specifications. 9. BROAD KNOWLEDGE OF OCCURRENCE The Named Insured must give the Insurer or the Insurer's authorized representative notice of an occurrence, offense or claim only when the occurrence, offense or claim is known to a natural person Named Insured, to a partner, executive officer, manager or member of a Named Insured, or an employee designated by any of the above to give such notice. B. NOTICE OF OCCURRENCE The Named Insured's rights under this Coverage Part will not be prejudiced if the Named Insured fails to give the Insurer notice of an occurrence, offense or claim and that failure is solely due to the Named Insured's reasonable belief that the bodily injury or property damage is not covered under this Coverage Part. A sidetrack agreement; c. Any easement or license agreement; d. An obligation, as required by ordinance, to indemnify a municipality, except in connection with work for a municipality; e. An elevator maintenance agreement; f. That part of any other contract or agreement pertaining to the Named Insured's business (including an indemnification of a municipality in connection with work performed for a municipality) under which the Named Insured assumes the tort liability of another party to pay for bodily injury or property damage to a third person or organization. Tort liability means a liability that would be imposed by law in the absence of any contract or agreement. INCIDENTAL HEALTH CARE MALPRACTICE COVERAGE Solely with respect to bodily injury that arises out of a health care incident: A. Under COVERAGES, Coverage A — Bodily Injury and Property Damage Liability, the paragraph entitled Insuring Agreement is amended to replace Paragraphs 1.b.(1) and 1.b.(2)with the following: b. This insurance applies to bodily injury provided that the professional health care services are incidental to the Named Insured's primary business purpose, and only if: (1) such bodily injury is caused by an occurrence that takes place in the coverage territory. (2) the bodily injury first occurs during the policy period. The Insurer has the right but not the duty to pay any portion of this $1,000 in order to effect settlement. If the Insurer exercises that right, the Named Insured will promptly reimburse the Insurer for any such amount. D. Paragraph 6., Damage To Premises Rented To You Limit, of LIMITS OF INSURANCE is deleted and replaced by the following: 6. This exclusion does not apply to: (2) a watercraft that is not owned by any Named Insured, provided the watercraft is: (a) less than 75 feet long; and (b) not being used to carry persons or property for a charge. 20.
