Stevens Facilities Feed Optimization Improvements City Project E12211 Mr. Edmonds: In response to the City's request, we are proposing a revised Amendment No. 1 in the amount of $48,900.00 to provide additional services for the O.N. Stevens Facilities Feed Optimization Improvements Project(E12211)for a total re-stated project fee of$1,140,712. PROJECT BACKGROUND O.N. Stevens Facilities Feed Optimization Improvements Project is based upon the analysis and recommendations for improvements for alum, polymer, and liquid ammonium sulfate (LAS)facilities, along with select elements of sedimentation basin hydraulic improvements, and alkalinity adjustment outlined in the Facility Analysis Engineering Report for the O.N. Stevens Water Treatment Plant (ONSWTP) provided under City of Corpus Christi Project No. 8426, the Draft Design Memorandum for the ONSWTP Facilities Feed Optimization Improvements provided under Amendment No. 1 of City of Corpus Christi Project No. 8605 as submitted in January 2011, and the latest Design Basis Memorandum submitted in October 2016. The Chemical Facilities Improvements project has since been combined with the Raw Water Influent Improvements project for a single bid package as City Project E17047. The O.N. Stevens Facilities Feed Optimization Improvements engineering contract was originally scoped for$1,091,812. PURPOSE OF AMENDMENT NO. 1 The purpose of Amendment No. 1 is to provide a revision to the original project scope to implement chlorine dioxide injection design with the new raw water influent structures as well as additional roadway improvements for the chemical delivery route inside the plant. The chlorine dioxide system was previously constructed in early 2017 and has injection points at the existing raw water junction box. Injection points will be needed on the proposed raw water influent piping and pipe rerouting will be required for these new injection points. DESIGN ELEMENTS The design elements which make up Amendment No. 1 are the following: A. Chlorine dioxide injection points at the proposed structure or piping (to be determined) and associated yard piping and control modifications. B. Approximately 3,700 SY of chemical delivery route pavement improvement/replacement from the end of concrete pavement northeast of Filter Building 1 to the proposed South Alum facilities.
