AMENDMENT NO. 1
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi,Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation ("City")and Freese and Nichols,Inc.
("Consultant"), agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Everhart Road
from SPID to Holly Road (Project No. 18014A):
Original Contract June 12, 2018 Resolution No. 031445 $823,700.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit "A", Section I. Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached
Amendment No. 1, Exhibit"A".
In the Original Contract,Article III Compensation shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the
attached Amendment No. 1, Exhibit"A"for a fee not to exceed $49,969.00, for a total restated fee not to exceed
$873,669.00.
All other terms and conditions of the June 12, 2018 Contract for Professional Services between the City and
Consultant,and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

RE: Everhart Road—Holly Road to South Padre Island Drive -Amendment No. 1
City Project No. 18014A
Dear Mr. Edmonds,
Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is pleased to submit an amendment to our professional services contract to
provide additional design phase services for the Everhart Road—Holly Road to South Padre Island Drive, City
Project 18014A for your consideration. This amendment includes design services to replace an existing 36"
water transmission line throughout the project limit. This amendment will include the following services:
Design Phase
1. Prepare design plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E)for a 36"water transmission line on
Everhart Road to replace an existing 36"water transmission line installed in 1961. Prepare design to
replace two existing 36"valves and water vaults at the intersections of SPID and Holly Road. Include
necessary tie-in details to the City existing water system. Prepare necessary design modifications to
other utility lines including water,wastewater, stormwater and gas on Everhart Road to
accommodate the new 36"water transmission line. Incorporate the design of the 36"water
transmission line into the pre-final (100%) plans(unsealed and unstamped)for City's final review.
Participate in three (3)additional meetings with the City for design of the 36"water line
improvements.
Project Assumptions:
a. City will conduct all applicable testing of the existing 36"water line. City has determined that it is
acceptable to shut down the existing 36" line and replace the line in the same alignment.
b. City will provide all water modeling of the existing and proposed water system.
