AMENDMENT NO. 2
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi, Texas, hereinafter called "CITY," and Martinez, Guy & Mavbik, Inc.,
hereinafter called "ENGINEER," agree to the following amendment to the Contract for Professional
Services for Community Park Development and Improvements — Bill Witt Park (Bond 20121
(Project No. E14002, Parent Project E121151 as authorized and administratively amended by:
Original Contract April 23, 2013 Motion No. M2013-073 $156,780.00
Amendment No. 1 December 17, 2015 Administrative Approval $25,000.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit A, Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit A.
In the Original Contract, Exhibit A, Fees shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in
the attached Amendment No. 2, Exhibit A for a fee not to exceed $6,560.00, for a total restated fee not
to exceed$188,340.00.
All other terms and conditions of April 23, 2013 Contract for Professional Services between the City
and Consultant, and of any amendments to that contract, which are not specifically addressed herein
shall remain in full force and effect.

E14002—Contract Amendment No. 2 Proposal
Dear Ms. West:
MGM Inc. was informed by the City's construction department on 12/28/2018 in regards to the
installation of the new grates at parking lot #2 (adjacent to the existing kickball field). Upon
MGM Inc.'s field visit it was noted that the edge of parking lot #2 was shifted closer to the
drainage swale, and was also built up to a higher elevation that was not per the design
elevations of the construction plans. As a result the alterations to parking lot#2 have created a
construction issue with the drainage design and will now require the installation of concrete
retaining walls at the grate inlet areas to retain the steep edges of the built up parking lot in
lieu of sloping the grade into the proposed swale as shown in the original construction plans.
Since parking lot #2 has changed in dimensions and vertical elevation MGM Inc. will now need
to survey the full length of the drainage area at parking lot #2. MGM Inc. will also be providing
engineering services and new construction plans for the required concrete retaining walls.
COMPENSATION
MGM proposes to perform continued construction phase services for the aforementioned
project for a total fixed fee of SIX THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLARS AND ZERO
CENTS ($6,560.00).

Said fee shall be paid as follows:monthly payments based on the progress of services
rendered.
Any Additional Services performed hourly by MGM and as authorized by the Client, would be
charged according to the following rates: Project Management/Engineering at $135/hour;
Windstorm Engineer at $130/hour; and Administration Assistance at $55/hour.
