AMENDMENT NO. 2
CONTRACT FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Corpus Christi,Texas, a Texas home-rule municipal corporation ("City")and Freese and Nichols, Inc.
("Consultant"), agree to the following amendments to the Contract for Professional Services for Everhart Road
from SPID to Holly Road (Project No. 18014A):
Original Contract June 12, 2018 Resolution No. 031445 $823,700.00
Amendment No. 1 February 13, 2019 Administrative Approval $49,969.00
In the Original Contract, Exhibit "A", Section I. Scope of Services shall be amended as set forth in the attached
Amendment No. 2, Exhibit "A".
In the Original Contract, Article III Compensation shall be amended based on the modified scope of services in the
attached Amendment No. 2, Exhibit "A" for a fee not to exceed $48,493.00, for a total restated fee not to exceed
$922,162.00.
All other terms and conditions of the June 12, 2018 Contract for Professional Services between the City and
Consultant, and of any amendments to that contract,which are not specifically addressed herein shall remain in full
force and effect.

RE: Everhart Road—Holly Road to South Padre Island Drive-Amendment No. 2
City Project No. 18014A
Dear Mr. Edmonds,
Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI) is pleased to submit an amendment to our professional services contract to
provide additional design phase services for the Everhart Road—Holly Road to South Padre Island Drive,City
Project 18014A for your consideration. This amendment includes additional design services for the 36"
water line, pavement design,traffic signal design, and additional public outreach services to support the
project. This amendment will include the following services:
1. Design Phase
a. Provide design plans,specifications,and estimate of an additive alternate pipe material for the
36" water transmission main on Everhart Road between Holly Road and South Padre Island Drive.
Prepare applicable design details and specifications for the additive alternate pipe material. The
additive alternate pipe material will be included in the project bid.
b. Provide additional review and coordination of the City's pavement design for Everhart Road.
Review and provide comments on City provided traffic data to support the final pavement design
for Everhart Road. Participate in two additional meetings with City's selected geotechnical design
engineer to provide comments.
2. Signalization Improvements
Review existing data and prepare signalization plans, specifications, and estimate for the traffic
signal and pedestrian signal improvements at the intersection of Corona Drive and Everhart Road.
FNI will design the traffic signalization improvements for Corona Drive Improvements project and
adapt the material on hand the City received as part of the Corona Drive Improvements project.
Participate in two (2) additional meetings with the City for the signalization improvements.
3. Additional Public Outreach
Provide up to five (5)additional stakeholder meetings for the project design and coordination of
driveway closures and access during construction. Conduct additional project site visits to meet
with property owners. Revise drawings based on property owner feedback and City review.

Project Assumptions:
a. City will provide all applicable information for the Corona Drive intersection including CAD files
and material on hand to be provided to the contractor for bidding.
