Re: Emergency Wastewater Support of 54" line located at intersection of Greenwood Dr. and SPID
(19078A)
Dear Mr. Edmonds:
As per your request, Freese and Nichols, Inc. (FNI)will provide professional services to support the
emergency response and investigation for the 54"wastewater line located at the Greenwood/SPID
intersection. The FNI team met with City and TxDOT staff on 8/22 and have begun the data collection
process and is formulating"next steps"for temporary bypass operations which will be followed by final
design solutions.
We will provide emergency response services in response to the City's requests on a time and material
basis. Please see attached FNI Compensation Schedule of Classification Charges. These services will be
provided up to a fee not-to-exceed(NTE)$300,000. This fee is based on direction from City staff for the
emergency response, planning, and development of an approach for a long-term solution.
After the temporary bypass operation, inspection, and repair of the damaged pipe, our team would be
more than happy to further assist the City by submitting a final design, bid and construction phase
proposal.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions.
Respectfully,
